Zeni will not fix PvP, since complaints decrease. Complaints decrease since players stop playing it.

This poll is unfairly biased. It doesn't give any option to say that PvP has some problems without saying that it's either dead or dying.

Constant lag. Huge amount of bugs, massive nerfs and imbalance.

I used to love pvp on this game, but it's just getting worse. I don't even find it fun anymore tbh, and it's a shame since I only pvp.

My personal gripes (that make me want to PvP less and less) are:

1) More and more stupid proc-based gameplay.
2) Crass imbalance between classes (especially open world).

I decided to quit pvp a week ago. ESO PvP can be very fun, but it isn't worth all the frustration that comes with it. The people in charge of the game barely do anything to fix pve, let alone pvp. For a game that is supposedly doing so well, every aspect of ESO seems abandoned, other than the crown store that is.

It's dying, but not for any of the reasons OP is implying in his post.

The ridiculous lag during active hours, constant DC'ing, sprinting into load screens, desyncing at keeps - these are the major causes. Combined with an overall lack of innovation as the rest of the game continues to pump out new content, and you've got the reasons why ESO PVP has been decreasing in population ever since shortly after launch. A great concept that's been ruined by server performance.

Also, all alliances have *** that message you to whine about being bested, in pvp and pve.

Nothing new to see her at all. The only problem with pvp is the lag IMO.

Found it more activity because of the combat strategist set.
Probably weak this week as most are doing dungeons, but was lots of activity two weeks ago.
Yes lots has performance issues, did not have any then I was on an pvp streak but still get scared then the postern door is repaired and you get an loading screen.

In short, better initiatives and better performance. Note reducing graphic in cyrodil and trials might be an silver bullet here.

There can only be so many reasons why so many PvP players don't want a seperate PvE Cyrodiil.

Clearly one of those reasons is a lack of targets.

more so its a mess, balance is so abysmal, insta gib combos exist, stealth is incredibly strong, some tank setups are so strong they can solo keeps/BG teams and most builds are just not viable (this somewhat extends to PvE as well) so you end up with a boring cookie cutter builds everywhere.

pvp is in its best state it's ever been. Classes are more balanced than have ever been. Sure, very unbalanced and toxic builds, but what i want to say is that what we have now is the best we ever had

ofc there is very much room for improvement, but at this point where we are now it's the best time pvp has ever been. Saying this, u can imagine we had twice as bad before

Dev team needs to step into Cyrodil on live to understand the state of PvP. Preferably on a live stream, so entire zergs can mow them down and they can understand how lame it is, that sieges don't do anything and are still useless (need a negate siege) , how overpowered some skills are, how stupid certain sets they have added in the last two years are, the massive advantage of stam classes, etc.

Well, that's if they don't freeze and get disconnected ...

Nice troll on "ESO PvP is in a healthy state", any reasonable person would say something different.

PvP is dying because lag, a lot of broken stuff and because there are not enough incentives to PvP. The times where players were PvPing for the sake of PvP itself are long gone. The PvP titles are nothing special any more, AP is useless and PvP itself sucks because you either find no person to fight or 20 people that are going to chase you and your 2-3 friends for 10 mins for juicy 50 AP - so skilled, much wow, zerging noobs.

By adding stuff like this *** new bow (blackrose prison bow) and having skills that stun, defile or damage you for way too much from 40 m range, they are giving too much power to players who do not deserve it. Some people might even say PvP is too casual friendly.

..and 4 years and ZOS still has not managed to spread the fights.

PvP has been dead since 2014 or early 2015. When ever ZOS put in the lighting/Botting patch, then they turned their back on the PvP community funneled ALL funds into developing console.

But like most things in this game, Just because its dead, doesn't mean it stops moving.

We have been playing Zombie PvP for the last 2-3 years. Waiting for the company to breathe life back into it.


It begins by ZOS answering the question of why it was possible to have "100s of players on screen" with no lag at launch but ostensibly impossible now.

never on PC EU stood more than 5 mins in que for BGs. Usually it joins up in 1-2 mins.

you should have added 4-th option 'dont care but hope it will die' :-) a lot of people dont play pvp and are actually annoyed to be unable to do PVP zone quests or other things as they keep getting killed.

still running zerg but dont know how long, mostly PvDoors that real pvp while 95% of best PvPers quitted this game long ago and only masochists with cheesy builds stayed here but they are not good PvPers anymore with cheesy builds

Cyrodiil performance sucks, but the pvp part is fine.

Im actually going to cyro again now to finish my achievements. Just played 20 mins in there and got disconnected and kicked out, so 40 man in queue again yay...

Oh Guess its only because i have *** internet, fiber net isnt good enough for cyro apparently.

Its weird, ive started to smoke extra 15 smokes a day since i started Playing cyrodiil again, i wonder why that is.. Maybe the loading screens? Did u know, there is no Better Quick fix for frustration then smokes 😀
