Servers going down for maintenance

How the hell can you take the servers down on a Friday night/Saturday morning that’s bull *** the most prime time of the week sos knows how to lose subscribers and players

Its patch maintenance. Im guessing they are releasing a fix for something to do with the event. Possibly finder with any luck.

If there was something that is screwing people over and making them unable to participate in the event i would expect them to fix it. Not leave it til monday tueaday when the event is over. There would be so much rage.

Don’t honestly know why they couldn’t deal with it prior to the event or at any time over the years it’s been brought up lol. No, all of a sudden they have a fix now during prime time for a lot of people and. on a weekend no less.

They are damned if they do, and damned if they don't, now. Every time is prime time for some region, but hey, we are going to have a fix (hopefully)

I hope they’re rolling a BGs queue fix into it as well. But seems unlikely either will get fixed. There have been many fixes for group finder over the years and there’s always issues.

It wasn't working last year, it isn't working now. THEY HAD OVER A YEAR TO FIX IT!!!

I usually try to be positive about maintenace, but when I tried logging on today and noticed the timing and length of the maintenance, the only thing I could think was:

REALLY? Absolute European prime time to game is the time to patch things?

I guess it shows how much they care about their European customers.

And yeah, it is annoying when it happens during someones -playtime slot-. But that's how it sometimes goes. I just go and watch anime while they are tinkering with the code and squishing the bugs...

it boggles the mind that they are only realising the dungeon finder needs fixing halfway through an event which they should never have launched with a broken dungeon finder. Actually I suspect they are not fixing it but just tinkering with the error message to make it less obtuse.

As part of our efforts to address the current Dungeon Finder issue, we will be performing a maintenance on all ESO servers tomorrow morning.

The PC/Mac NA and EU servers will be offline starting at 4am EST. This will be the incremental patch that was originally scheduled for Monday.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 NA and EU servers will be offline starting at 6am EST. We estimate all servers to be back online around 10am EST.

And they probably don't want to waste money on us to pay the Germans to work on the server in the middle of our nights.

10am - 4pm for me.

There is also a community charity event event going on on twitch. And these streamers cant even play the game. lol

That is a really bad time for a maintenance man.

I find the foot stomping and cries of anguish that occur when the servers go down to try and fix issues both comical and sad.

That seems like a really long time to keep the servers down just to patch the dungeon finder.

I think Sheogorath got loose again and ZOS just doesn't want to alarm people.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind even these sudden maintenances if they were actually fix the problems properly, permanently.

Or just change the system somehow. Think about it. Work on it, please!
I wonder.. does ZOS staff even play this game sometimes...?
If not, I suggest you to start playing it. It is a great game you created, so please don't ruin it...(more)!

For me it's 7pm-11pm Saturday evening. #howtopissoffyourplayerbase


...and on console it's maintenance only - how on earth do they expect that to fix a (at least) year old bug lol.

I honestly think they are just going to tinker with it for a few hours and hope for the best. So either it is going to be completely broken or semi-improved when the maintenance is concluded. lol Flip a coin I guess.

For real? It was broken last year. It should have been important when there's no event.

Wait, they can patch consoles without having to wait on the 3 week approval process? Why did console have to wait so long for enchant and d-swing fixes?
