Where Did My Leap Go?!

Hey everyone!

Have you ever attempted to use your ultimate ability only to have it's effect not happening while your ultimate pool is emptied?

I have, too. Quite a few times actually.
So I decided to start recording these occurrences to analyze them.

As you can see in the vid, it seems like if an enemy player uses a hard CC on you as you cast your ultimate, the ability won't fire despite resetting your ultimate pool and sometimes displaying partial animation.

ZoS strikes again. Like yesterday when i was doing hard mode moon hunter keep, the dog managed to kill 2 people with a ST ability, standing half the room apart from each other, while NOT doing the ability animation at all, just standing still on one place. Sometimes i wonder how the hell those bugs can even occur

I hate that one badly, and it keeps happening

Nah. I tried to set up Radeon ReLive to record footage, but its bugging a lot, so I gave up

+1 this needs to be looked into.
Last night i had multiple times where I would click my ult (permafrost) and just... nothing.

DK leap ultimate also won't fire when you 're immobilized, it's a cool ultimate that gives you a powerful feel, but it has quite a few unnecessary counters imho.
It's dodgeable if you time your dodge rigt, that's fine, but doesn't fit into the undodgeable AoEs change all that well.
Can Be blocked, that's fine in my opinion.
But what would really make sense to me, is if it cleansed immobilization effects on activation like one morph of wings does and also gave hard CC immunity for the duration of the leap.

Did you get hard cc'd as well in these cases? And did you get a vid by a chance?

To the same place that Dawnbreakers go, and also one of two socks when you wash a pair and inexplicably end up withhalf the amount you started with.

Well, leap DOES remove previously applied snares and roots upon cast, to enable you to reach the target. However it does not prevent more from being applied to you during the animation, which sometimes cancels it's damage aspect.
Imo the issue isn't with leap ult though but rather with the fact almost all ults can be interrupted if the enemy hard cc's you in the right time.

That little elephant *** is responsible for a lot of failed 1vX fights. Makes sense though, why ZOS is having a hard time tracking it down and giving it whatever it needs so it stops taking our ultimates. The intricacies of game upkeep that us pleebs never even think about.

Does it now? I haven't played my DK in quite some time, but from the times I remember, being immobilized wouldn't let me cast the Leap at all, and sometimes it would spend my ult without leaping, resulting in a weird graphical bug when I'd end up dragging my wings behind me on the floor for another couple of minutes.
