Is there a chance for zos to implement Marrying npc or having your toons marry each other is this possible and of all this will also encourage people to make more character and will benefit zos as well?

As far as players marrying each other, they did, sort of.. My character did get married when the game first started. He still has the ring of Mara in his inventory with her name on it. His spouse, however, is long gone and to be honest he has hardly noticed.
Not sure why this would be needed? If its a role play situation, then you can pretty much role play the ceremony and marriage on your own. I dont think we need ZOS blessing for such.

As far as marrying NPCs, well that would be kinda strange I think for multi player game. I mean, try to imagine Naryu or Darien has 10s of thousands husbands/wives. Doesnt make much sense. But then again, maybe either of those 2 wouldnt mind..

I’d have no problem with this. Add it to housing, it’s instanced anyway.

But I enjoyed my NPC wife making me all that extra cash while I was out adventuring. I never did ask her where that money really came from, though. You don't question where the milk came from...

I do also miss having the NPC kids to come home to, bringing them pets, gifts, etc. It's not like the e-family can become a source of griefing. They never leave your house once you acquire them, so nobody can really talk trash about them unless they have permission to visit your house, etc.

Can't be any stranger than half of Tamriel employing the exact same banker and merchant to follow them around.

When it comes to marrying other characters (and perhaps I read this wrong) I was reading it as one of my characters marrying another of my characters. Which is something I've got rolling around in my head for one of my alts and alt concepts. If we could place "offline" characters in houses, I could make this seem even more believable.

LOL , I agree with you that marrying NPC is a strange thing. It's like in real life you would buy a blow up doll and get married with it :D

The following is a bit off the mark, but the most compelling aspect of the original Guild Wars (3rd DLC, I think) was the ability to bring our level-20 characters on as companions.

This is not something I'd ever expect in ESO, but I do so hope for a game one day that revisits this mechanic. It's such a shame to invest so much time in character after character only to put them in stasis while we play only one at a time. For lack of it, GW2 has always felt a bit hollow to me.

    that would be even BETTER

i hope this happens, and also able Mary them!

Marrying should have pros and cons ingame. Marriage fees and other related fees as cons. Able to bring spouse on adventure as pros.

    10k gold marriage license.

Yeah one can marry there alts and get xp bonus like lovers comfort in skyrim when you visit home wouldn't that be great players will actually look out for their houses and make more characters this can also benefit zos and people like us having so many characters and everyone can have their own unique wife / husband ^_^ might be even better than npc marriage.

I would be fine with seeing other spouses around Tamriel. Plus, we already know that Lydia has married millions of people...

I'd love to have a quest associated with a potential spouse. Voiced by the VA for the Augur of the Obscure, please. Or even the Augur himself :D

It is not that simple. The obvious is characters is the story lines would not be available. Darien, and his story, is a great example of why not.

NPC marriage would cause too many hurt feelings as some people can get really....weird...about their game stuff. There are people who care more about how many other people have a mount or item than what it even looks like, imagine those people having hissy fits over someone else marrying "their" NPC. The screeching would never stop.

Ring of Mara needs an update. It should work by clicking it instead of equipping it. Not cool to require to give up all those stat bonuses and set bonus for just a little exp.

Btw, it doesn’t usually even show a buff and seems buggy. Fix this item ZOS. You’re kinda ripping players off with the sales of this item.

Honestly, I peg this whole Mara thing as an extension of the TES NPC marriage, adapted to an MMO. I don't think they have given it a second thought. Ever.

As with all of the other social aspects of this game, most of the heavy lifting is done by the players. No one needs Mara to get "married" in this game. All the couple has to do is stand there and say "I do," and it is done. Actually, they don't even need to go to that much effort.

What would be cool is if we could selectively choose to leave our characters standing in our houses when the character is not in use. Give them the ability to idle in a sandbox mode.
