Need advice magblade sustain issues

Hi, if anyone could help me clarify a few things.

I can't finish a 3 mill dummy without loosing sustain. This never used to be a problem.

I'm using 5 burning spell weave. 5 siroria and zaans. Dark elf, atronach mundus witch mothers brew.

Could anyone suggest better gear? Is there something im doing wrong?
I main stam sorc but I have a semi decent mag blade rotation at 46k

You need to do heavy attacks like every other class now because zos likes to nerf sustain every patch.

You don't need to heavy attack. Do you apply elemental drain? Witchmother's + magicka drain weapon enchant should be enough to sustain every PvE content without issues.

You could go vamp to get an extra 10% regen.

The question is are you having issues sustaining in dungeons and trials? If not, then sustaining on a dummy isn't really a problem. Just ask someone to provide you some orbs for a parse occasionally.

Are you putting ele drain on the dummy? Just swap out your shield if you run one with elemental drain and you will improve your sustain that way.

I assume that you are running siphoning strikes and potions too.

Are you keeping up Siphoning Strikes and Elemental Drain for the full duration? I use Mother's Sorrow instead of Burning Spellweave and with the Thief as my mundus stone, otherwise same gear. Front bar enchantment is Absorb Magicka and I'm a vampire for the 10% mag recovery.

I usually finish a 3mil dummy with around 30% magicka left (full light-attack rotation). My MagNB is a Breton though, so sustain is probably better than Dark Elf I guess.

Hi I'm vamp stage 4. I just wanted to test dps. No problem in trials as I have support with orbs etc Siphoning strikes is slotted and using spell power pots etc

Good advice. I'll try mother sorrow just for the dummy and also absorb magicka enchantment is what I'm missing. Thank you

Absorb magicka helps a lot, with it the sustain is pretty much as it was before the patch

Nightblade sustain was nerfed thanks to bow procs not being free along with execute costing more as well

Sustain got nerfed about by about 300-400 extra drain per second since last patch (based of my 3m tests).

Witchmothers adds an extra 160 (+ modifiers) and an absorb mag enchant adds between 150-200 depending on uptime which is more than enough to counter this at the loss of a little dps.

Swap the atro back to thief, if anything run 1x magicka regen glyph if you still struggle.
