Two hander Weapons OP?

I might be missing something here but...it really seems that the two hander weapons are very strong it also seems to be a central focus on the game as for when you first start out.

They're one of the weakest option in PvE. I don't know where you got this idea from.

There really is no strongest option for PvE/PvP because it is all decided by the way you build your character. I've seen people lay out the optimal 40k DPS using a 2h axe and was baffled when they really proved it with a screenshot.

Research some sets and bust out those critical thinking skills and I 100% believe you'll find a setup that benefits your play-style and is optimal.
    Cheers.

There are a number of end game builds that can help you find what you are looking for.

On the bad side of DPS it is often a 2H that does not know what they are doing that underperforms anything else except maybe just a bow build. Again, this is for players that have not figured out the basics.

As the previous poster mentioned, 2H/bow seems to underperform d2/bow though Alcast has some 2H builds, though most are DW. Not sure why he chooses certain classes to work with 2H but have not really looked at the differences.

For PvE the meta is dual wield frontbar, bow backbar. 2H pulls less single target DPS in PvE.

PvP is different, there's no one most effective setup

40k on a stamina build is low when talking end game parses. Especially with fracture

It depends on your class, play-style, and what kind of build you have theory crafted. Take the time to learn the game and your classes you play with because most players run several set ups per each class, depending on what you are doing. Good luck. :)

    Though 2h is not OP....

Somebody, somewhere found something to be OP.

Nerf it to the ground. It's the only way to be sure.

DW outpaces 2h in PvE. Solo you're gonna leave 3-5k DPS on the table if you choose to go 2h instead of DW; that gap will widen in a raid scenario. The gap has widened every patch starting with Summerset. I will still use 2h in most dungeons and in a handful of trials fights (mostly trash pulls).

In PvP 2h is the difficult choice, since anyone who wants easy mode will go spin2win so they don't have to target. Granted I haven't been in PvP much since murkmire speed nerfs, due to the terrible lag and performance.

2 hander is fun but really clunky and slow to use definitely not the best dps

2h is op according to op. dizzying swing is op spam with stun.
As a back bar weapon, it has gap close, bow only make you run faster, not gap close, run faster don't help close gap.
As a front bar weapon, cleave is aoe dot where twin slash is single target, 2 enchant is worse than bleed more ppl.

I recently saw a guy stamblade with 2H sword in Cyrodiil, easily killing solo with good sustain, he was hitting very hard indeed, on my eyes he killed maybe 10 random players who were just passing by and stopped to fight him.
So it seems some 2H builds are very strong in pvp and I'd like to know these.

The noobs have been out en masse lately, or trolls idk.

No 2h is not op in any way, shape, or form. It performs below dual wield in pve. In pvp while it's the go to option for a lot of people, you're seeing more and more that just use 2h in the back bar for rally/forward momentum.

If anything, 2h is still underperforming.

I'd like to say that I understand that most of these comments are based off of end game experience and builds. I guess I am more analytical for beginning game.

It depends on your class, play-style, and what kind of build you have theory crafted.
    ...and that's pretty much it.

2H has some advantages, and some drawbacks. It all depends how you use it... I personally would say it may not be "the best" objectively, but it is something I would recommend for someone who is not all that skilled in ESOing yet, since the mini-shield you get from spamming brawler is rather helpful for those who still have trouble sometimes... also, this line has everything else you might need as well, gap closer, execute, CC, and even a selfheal-ish option.

Of course, as has been said, once you do get good... many may pick something else for stamina DPSing, like DW or bow... but it still depends more on your flavor and setup.

Also, I would say don't worry about chasing the last percentage of effectiveness, go with whatever you have the most fun seeing your character with! The only real "must have" wweapon is picking up a shield if you wanna go tankin... (although 2H can make a halfway decent offtank due to the aforementioned mini-shield)
