Launcher stalling on update and crashing to desktop

Sorry, but this stuff is getting old. For the past 7 months I've not been able to even load the launcher unless I open Firefox and navigate to some pages. Now the update is stalling at 19% again. :/

    Stuck at 9%
    Can't even attempt to repair as the launcher freezes as soon as it's opened and I can't click anything and have to force close it thru task manager.

    Connecting thru a VPN resolved the update issue for me. But while downloading and installing a VPN client just to get the launcher to work may be a work-around, it is NOT a resolution to this ongoing problem and frustration.

    You guys play from EU or NA?
    I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

    Anyone find a solution that doesn't involve downloading some 3rd party vpn?

    Stuck at 12% and it froze and exit after a few mins :(

    This started around 6-7months ago. It's not going to get fixed, just give up and use a VPN.

    Use Windscribe, You get 10GB that reset each month for free which is enough for patches

    Same. Came home from work, went to update and stuck at 9% crash to desktop. I reopen and repeat.

    I reinstalled the launcher to no avail. If I have to download 3rd party stuff just to get the game to work guess it's time to give up and cancel my sub.

    Ugh! Took me all evening of restarting the launcher to get the stupid patch downloaded.

    Was stuck downloading at 28kbps from Chicago area Comcast. Connected to my Private Internet Access VPN through Houston, and was done downloading within a few seconds.

    Thanks for posting this. I'm in Chicago on Comcast and was having problems too. Connected to my VPN and no issues. Zos needs to do something about this *** akamai.

    I won't use a 3rd party application just to play the game. This needs to be fixed.
