Are there any landmarks from Skyrim that I would recognize in ESO?

Honestly, i haven't seen anything in the world that reminds me of Skyrim. I realize that ESO happens many years earlier, but certainly towns, shrines, duneons would survive? Or maybe a mountain range or lake?

Eastmarch and The Rift are both present in ESO. There are some similarities. Windhelm and Riften are in the game but not quite laid out the same. They actually appear to be larger and contain more buildings. But given how much time passes between ESO and Skyrim, It is believable enough.

Really, you just need to look at the map and explore those two zones and decide for yourself.

Are you saying you don't see the Throat of the World ... or the beginning of the 7,000 steps? Really??

    Ah got it.

Well, you’re not bound to doing the zone quests in order ... or bound to porting there on a break and taking a peek.

ESO was made by a completely different company to work in a completely different way so .. it looks different. But if you do play and do the zone quests you will see places and meet people you knew in skyrum. It took me a while too lol. Cadwells silver and gold are a lot of fun to complete and you get a ton of skill points from them.

Skuldafn is still there and the exterior still pretty much looks the same.

Oh, and the one who lead you there is called Snow hunter.

Ivarstead and that Draugr burial mound next to it in the game. Additionally the hot springs in lower Eastmarch and Kynesgrove can be visited.

Eastmarch and The Rift are zones, that's it. The rest of Skyrim isnt in game, except for Falkreath, but that's a Group DLC Dungeon. Also the Throat of the World, being Tamriels biggest mountain, is NOT done justice. You can get to the start of the steps up it but there's nothing resembling the actual mountain itself that you can see, just a smallish range.

Never understood why they didnt make a huge distinctive mountain there.

Running through the Rift and Eastmarch you will find many things to recognize. The architecture, the draugr tombs, many locations etc. The music also adds massively to the nostalgia.

Obviously there are differences due to it being two different games and 1000 years of in game time difference, but you can clearly see the heavy influence of Skyrim.

The beginning of the steps yes, but the mountain magically disappeared, unless you are Nord and drunk ;).
Here I made comparison, same place same direction NW:

Then is it any wonder you haven't seen any Skyrim landmark outside of Skyrim...?

Go visit Eastmarch, The Rift, and the Falkreath Hold dungeon for some locations in common with TESV.

What nostalgia? i have Skyrim installed, it’s just two completely different regions if you load them
one after another, and TESO here sxxx badly in all aspects. Only group dungeons are comparable in level of detail

Skuldafn is identical. The rest, not so much. That's not entirely a bad thing, Skyrim was too small for a province.

Personally i hate how they did Riften and Windhelm, i thought ESO was their chance to make them proper sized cities. They're just as small as they are in Skyrim. The Falkreath from ESO however, is miles better than the one from Skyrim. Unfortunately it is just a dungeon.

Windhelm. The sulfur pools still have... Bathers in there as well. Riften... Is to me one of the better skyrim locations.
