I went to my in game house, where I knew there wouldn't be any crowd, and adjusted my graphics settings to ULTRA. I hung out for about 10 minutes clearing up some bank space and then QUIT the game. I didn't just log out, I quit the game. Logged back in on a different toon that was also at my in game house. Once everything loaded, I adjusted all of my graphics settings to the lowest levels with no shadows, no sun shafts, no water reflection, no grass, bloom etc. and I set the draw distance to 30 and turned vertical sync OFF. Then I quit the game again.
Logged back in on my main pvp toon and went to Cyrodiil which has arguably the worst performance of any zone in the game. My fps went from low 20's in the middle of nowhere and single digits in fights, to mid 30's in the middle of nowhere and low 20's in fights. Now this is in no way acceptable, but it is playable again.
I'm very interested to see if this graphics settings shuffle positively affects anyone else, so please try it and post your results below. If this helps others it may also help ZOS figure out a few of the Mac Client issues.
