Console UI Needs Work - Debuffs Are Messy

Seems very disorganized. I don't remember it being this messy before Murkmire.

It has been that way since the so called buff trackers launched a year ago. They are pretty much unusable in the current state.

The ability to pick & choose which buffs you want to track & to see them clearly would be a huge set up from what we have got now

We need a few things in the UI in regards to buffs, debuffs, and timers. Without addons to track these things, it can be quite difficult to keep an eye on certain abilities.

For example, on a MagBlade, Using Twisting Path, and Elemental Blockade. These abilities both are cones in front of you. The elemental blockade is easy to see on the ground, but twisting path is more difficult when the Blockade is laid over top of it. Having a counter on the ability icon to let you know how long until it expires would be a great help.

Also on the MagBlade, having a counter for how many Merciless stacks you have would be great. Currently, it gets bugged (On PS4) and the icon doesn't change when you are ready to shoot your arrow, so you have to keep a running count in your head all the while keeping up a rotation. Simply having a counter on the icon to tell you how many stacks you have built up would be incredibly helpful.

Even just a small improvement like Action Duration reminder would be great

Also @kathandira if you turn on 'Permanent effects' there is a small counter on your buff bar, far from the best but works for now.

Merciless shows up as a counter for it's duration, but I haven't seen a stack counter on it.

In the case of Elemental Blockade and Twisting Path, they are AoE's, rather than debuffs, so there is no icon on your buff bar or on the enemies debuff bar.

Unless i'm completely missing something. If I am, i'd feel real silly,

you just need to set on options to display only the debuffs that YOU applied to the target, it will look messy if you set to display debuffs applied by everyone.

You're not messing anything. It's a total mess. Op shows debuffs on ennemy, but self-buff bar is just as bad. You cast one buff on you, up to 4 squares can appear, due to minor/major buffs, passives, etc. Try to keep track of that after...

When I came back this summer, I was excited to learn ZoS put some efforts to include buff trackers on console. When I actually saw the buff tracker, I really doubted they put any effort at all. Disappointing.

@kathandira Sorry should have been more specific, if you turn on all effects especially permanent effects there is a counter for Merciless bow procs there isn't one for any ground AoE's tho

Yes, it would definitely help if the icons themselves were in any way intuitive or even legible lol.
