@ZOS_GinaBruno , are you able to share ZOS' official stance on t-bagging? Is it considered harassment according to the TOS?

Thank you.

How do you prove that someone is t-bagging you and they weren't merely crouching quickly?

Lol i just hope it's not violation of ToS since then ZOS wouldn't have time for anything else than dealing with these reports.

I heavily fail to see the fun in t-bag, it's just not fun at all. But it's also hardly a harrasment or offense. I get my fair share everyday but i don't even check the names i simply don't care.

Can it be considered harassment? It can be depending on the context, especially if people go out on their way to target you. is it annoying? A bit, especially when zerglings do it after they xv1 you as if xv1ing is outplaying you. Do I do it? I can neither confirm nor deny that I do but I will say that the concept of crouching up and down repeatedly sounds satisfying to do on zerglings and people who use snipe, particularly those who do it in outnumbered situations or when you are already fighting someone else... tho I am not admitting to doing the previous statement. Some people may do it as a "Better luck next time" gesture and I guess its up to you to either return the favor or just move on.

Dunno why people get so upset about it. It's funny. PvP is funny. People who take it too seriously are funny. Even funnier when they send me hate whispers because they've got their knickers in a knot over me killing them with whatever attack is considered lame this week.

People get triggered by the most inane things these days!

If I'm bagged after a long fight or if I'm killing a group solo and I get caught out...fair enough.

It only bothers me when it's some random player that did absolutely nothing, who'll then run over to bag. Like, why are you here...you literally ran like a *** and hid in the back of the zerg when you saw me coming, now you think you earned that drop? The *** outa here with that...
If you do that, truly you are a PoS. Hands down, no debate.

Other than that, take it as a compliment.

Good grief some of these posts. How do some people survive everyday normal life with being constantly offended with trivial crap?

"And it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days. The fact that the word "monetized" exists points to the heart of the issue for us: We don't want the player to worry about which parts of the game to pay for - with our system, they get it all."

remembers me the last time i got tbagged
it was only a few days ago i was with my magblade in cyro.
i attacked one dude and he is nearly dead only like 1-2 hits more....and then his mate appears a dmg/heal
they killed me together and then the dude who nearly died walked over to my corpse and bagged me....
at this point he was on top of my to-do-list and with on top i mean he was the only one on my to-do-list
so ill switched to my gankbuild, sneaked in front of one of his keeps and waited.
i saw a big zerg riding out to one of my keeps and then i saw him.....riding helpless like zebra in the wild with his zerg.
i buffed myself up and killed him through the zerg as fast that he lies down together with his mount dead on the ground.
so i just walked to him and gave him his little bilbo teabaggins back while his zerg is watching it.
after they realized what happened and tried to kill me i was just running and sneaking away like a little girl but they couldnt find me AND it was worth it^^

I reserve slams for snipe stackers and guildies if we're running around in dungeons and 1 dies.

Nothing funnier than a snipe stacker hitting themselves with their own arrows due to wings and then receiving a glorious Ferocious Leap (the Flying clam slam) to finish the job.

As sad as it sounds they have taken action in the past issuing warnings against players doing it as they claim it is "physical harassment" which is utterly ridiculous.

Between friends or consenting guildies is one thing, doing it to someone you don’t know is open for interpretation. Let’s not pretend most tbag encounters are one tiny dip once and that’s that. It is usually done repeatedly, followed by whispers from someone who blocked you so you can’t even respond. Sometimes immediately followed by doing push-ups on the body. It is the essence of the act that is offensive when it is not consensual. The tea time emote is under used!

I doubt that ESO and BF crowd has big % of intersection and so when you teabag you are just askin’ for a stealf snipe, person on the ground dont know wut’s going and just looks at respawnin’ timer

It has been known for a while that teabagging is against the ToS, as are all sexually related actions done against an unwilling target. It has to be reported though, and reporting requires that it be offensive to the recipient.

It doesn't matter what the person doing it thinks of the action. It is entirely the recipient that gets to judge whether it is acceptable or not. That means that getting reported is hit or miss. If you know that the recipient likes to do it, chances are they won't care if you do it.

Personally, I like to bow or clap. The latter, when I perceive that they performed in accordance with Darwin.

    I personally hate it.

But I also know that getting me mad is its purpose.. so I keep my anger private.

Either they 1 shot me from stealth in which case "WOW such skills" or we just had this intense 1v1 battle... then they ruin all that good sportsmanship with juvenile behaviour

I don't understand why people teabag. Well, must be something one would totally do in a real fight.

I wait for the news that one dude gets his baggins ripped or shot off while he stands pants-down on a not so dead corpse on the battle field or in a dark street in the Bronx. That would make my day for sure. >:)

Best way to shut down a bagger (especially if said player is bad and got a lucky kill) is to bag the heck out of them in return.

Exhibit A: an extremely bad NB got a lucky kill on me in a BG this one time and bagged me. I didn’t care, but since the guy was trash and clearly thought his lucky kill meant something, I made it my personal mission to kill and clam slam him for the remainder of the match. I killed him about ten times. :) When he and one of his teammates killed me towards the end of the match, he didn’t bag me — so, clearly, he received the message loud and clear that he was bad, and that he made the mistake of bagging a much better player. Next time I killed him, I didn’t clam him and bowed instead. I like to think I cured that particular player of teabagging — or at least made him think twice about doing it.

Teabagging is meant to get an emotional response from another player. If you get upset, you are letting that person control you- plain and simple. This person is likely in another state or country even. If you let a person that far away control you emotionally then how are you going to handle emotional conflicts in you daily life?... unless you hide in your house all day, every day. My advice is to not let these people influence you. You have complete control of who you let in to your circle of influence.
