During one of my runs, I had the unfortunate bug where you couldn't drop hoarfrost as the synergy doesn't appear, which lead me being sent down to the shadow realm as the side boss tank.
I thought that it was only on vets, but I got it during a nCR +3 run, spamming X didn't work and I was immobile. couldn't roll either for obvious reasons and I died.

✭✭If you use another synergy a bit before it pops up, sometimes the hoarfrost synergy simply won't pop up in time. If you get the frost, don't use any other synergy a few seconds before you get the hoarfrost prompt.PC EU - Zahraji of the Void, aka "Kitty", the fluffiest salmon genocider in town.

it never popped up, but I'm assuming that this is a precaution to prevent the bug from happening, which occurs sadly.0
