Orc Wise Woman's Vestment is (mostly) a dyer's delight!

As per my standard setup I've got :

Julianos White
Legate Black
Ruby Throne Red
Covenant Blue
Colossus Brass
Ophidian Jade
Sigil Orange
Warlord Violet
Motif Master Brown













You can see that everything is the expected color as far as RGB is concerned, and that the cloth is just spot on in every capacity. My only criticism is that while the metal/trim pieces are the right color (hue? I really should learn some color theory at some point) it seems to be quite a few shades lighter than the intended result. This is definitely still workable, just not strictly desired behavior. In any case, definitely more in line with what I'm sure we'd all like to see.

As for the cut and overall style, I'm really loving it! If you told me you were going with a strapless/mantle/full sleeve with bracers combo I doubt I'd have expected something so stunning! This really is quite an interesting addition and I'll be more than happy to add it to my outfit schedule.

And finally, here's a shot showing off the different dye channels. Taken at a different time of day because I'm a scrublord who forgot his own methodology, but still evocative of the main effect. Note the shoe ornamentation!

This and the vengeance day costume really are great both as costumes and in dye capability! I use the vengeance day costume as a Psijic robe along with a skullcap.

Yep, ran through the colors last night with this one. Even the common colors pop on this costume. I finally settled on Antique Silver (master jeweler).

I can't wait for one of the really great crown store costume dyes to permanently dye this costume. I personally like brilliant reds, golds, and greens (queue Culture Club). Hopefully there are some really nice brass or gold ones with the Clockwork City anniversary coming up.

I Love the Asian Style and Silk Texture to this dress and it dyes so well.

The default black is darker than Coldharbour Black, keep that in mind when re-dying it I love this dress and am glad I bought it. I love the detached sleeves and the shiny dye application.

I grabbed it straight away as it did look incredible when I previewed it on my female healer.

Tbh I wish all the costumes were of this quality as I might have finally been able to buy a Male outfit I actually liked.

Yes, that's where I was directing my comment. If you have the crowns I recommend this outfit. It shows colors very brilliantly.

That is easy! Just walk up to a world boss and ask them. With any luck you will be schooled rather quickly on dying.

Dyeing on the other hand... Go to the outfit station wearing the desired costume. On the upper right of the interface is a button that when moused over says something about costume dyeing. Select that and the dye channels for the currently equipped costume will appear. From their dye the costume the same way you would an outfit or piece of armor.

If you are on controller rather than keyboard / mouse... no idea.

ROFL!! Leave it to me to typo something and not notice! Thank you SO much for the explanation - I hadn't ever noticed the costume icon for some reason - too focused on armor I guess. So now my girl who uses the Wise Woman's robe and the strange but awesome transparent red horse with silver trappings (not in game so can't remember what it's called right now) has the gold parts of her costume now silver so she matches Wildfire (all my girls' mounts have names, even though we can't see them *sigh*).
