Expect "+ Trials" on event dates?

I mean its too late for this event for me, but maybe its something to keep in mind for the future. Does ZOS tend to do ESO+ Trials on top of DLC-required event dates regularly? Or is this just a rare one time thing with Clockwork and the Indrik feathers? Slightly annoyed (partially at myself but oh well) that I gave up on getting feathers midway through the first event because I would've been blocked by not having Clockwork to get all four, so my efforts would've been pointless anyway. Now there's going to be a +Trial over the event date. Too late for me, because I never got my first feather under the premise I'd be missing one no matter what and waste my efforts.

I'm not really complaining, other than it would've been nice to have some warning earlier ZOS was going to do this because now myself (and I'm sure others) are totally locked out of completing the event per not knowing I'd have a chance without buying either ESO+ or Clockwork.

Is this something ZOS does pretty regularly though? With events that require DLC to complete like this? So I know better for future events.

you would not have been blocked even if there was not ESO plus trial for clockwork. undaunted event rewards 3 tickets per day and vendor has both the old feathers from prior events AND new ones. essentialy if you participate in every singel event, there are far more tickets then you need to finish out the indrik. even if you miss an entire event and days from other events, you can STILl catch up by lifeday.

how do I know? becasue when they originally announced the indrik, they also said how many tickets you get per day per event. undaunted event is 3 tickets per day.that's roughly enough to buy 2 feathers. witches festival event also awarded more then 10 tickets, even if you didn't get your dremora skulls every 20 hours.

@Linaleah: true - I got the first feather (10 tickets) and have four tickets as a backlog. I wanted to try for a fifth one, but had internet issues, so didn't get logged in with enough time.

Could someone link me to the dates for the remaining events this year please? I can't remember seeing anything (eh, I don't read every thread), and this would be my first time through this quarter and its events.

ZOS tends to have free access around sweepstakes periods where you don't have to purchase the game to play it. ESO+ trial periods were new for 2018 and their regularity is still to be seen.

However, ZOS did clarify ongoing availability before the Witches Festival started. If you based your opinion off the Forbes opinion piece, then you let others dupe you. Only use official sources.

You can still get that feather though, they aren't exclusive to their events. Once they've been added to the game you can get any feather at any time (during an event) as long as you have 10 tickets.

I read the article a few times before off the ESO launcher but somehow still missed a few details it seems (or maybe it just slipped my mind, who knows), but I am happier to know that I still have a chance at it. Thanks for the clarifications.

Go for it. I'm pretty sure the CWC event isn't going to work very well for me, but there will be two more before the end of the year, so I should still have enough....

yep! they designed the event in such a way that even if you fall behind/cannot participate in one or even two of the events - you can still catch up!

iirc, between the 4 events there are 80 chances to get the feathers. Only 40 feathers are needed.

So regardless of what happened in the last event and even if the ESO+ trial did not happen no one was locked out of getting the mount, though I understand not knowing the details.

It would have been bad business to lock players out of the mount because only 3 events were for them unless it was specifically stated we had to be ESO+ or own the DLCs to get the mount.
