Fun Builds matter !!

I think that "we" on this forum talk alot about only the strong builds or the best of the best what is achievable in a certain class!
But i feel there are lots of fun viable builds out there that need some love and attention..

So tell me about a build you really enjoy playing that isnt meta or super strong per se, but you just play because its FUN!

(My fun build) for pvp

is a high elf magplar

overwhelmingsurge set
valkyn skoria and rattlecage set

what i like about it , is that it is a proc build and it suits the templar class really well. its a hard build to play because your like a pack of butter so squishy but enjoyable non the less!

PC eu. Main : Magplar cp 320

Trying some things with Werewolf when I get time and transmute stones. Looking to created easily do where you are werewolf most of the time. The goal is something to help people enjoy dungeons and combat more by keeping it easy, simple and fluffy fun.

I have a lot outgoing builds, or in progress builds but it's all about meeting the goals that I designed them to achieve.

My fun build is my Bosmer stam sorc + zombie skin + drunk personality. She has pigtails too. Completely ridiculous. But so much fun to play. She doesn't even have "great" gear on, but she does alright out in Cyro. Being in the top ten isn't my goal, outliving EVERYONE isn't my goal. I just want to have the best time.

I have some, they are not perfect and not meta, but they are fun and I play game for fun.

Magblade vampire with Dark Stalker, Shadow walker\Shadowdancer\Shadowrend helm\Domihaus shoulders, Double Take, Concealed Weapon, Shadowy Disguise, Siphoning Attacks, Shadow Image, swift trait jewelry, full medium sets sneak with magicka enchants, Athletics+Improved Sneak.

That's my main thief assassin and crafter, can move fast in shadows, live in them, embrace them, nice for roleplay Jack of Shadows by Roger Zelazny.

Next one is argonian warden healer, in solo I use heavy Bahraha's Curse\Winterborn jewelry and weapons\Nerien'eth monster set, Ice Fortress, Permafrost, Winter's Revenge, Frozen Device, Elemental Blockade, Destructive Reach, Leeching Vines, Growing Swarm, Screaming Cliff Racer, Bird of Prey, Devouring Swarm.
Since swarm no more direct damage it's not as fun as before but still nice.
In PvP I swap Nerien'eth for Earthgore in PvE for Nightflame or Chokethorn.

This pretty awesome for RP Volkihar Vampire Sarpa argonian, you can actually pull prey under ice with Frozen Device, freeze them into ice statues with Permafrost, slow them down with snare and freeze they feet to ground and then slowly feed on them with Invigorating Drain.

Next one is Telvanni sorcerer who pursuit immortality in different bodies, as Vestige he is not tied to old mortal form but cursed to be soul reaver, soulshriven vampire who need to feed on souls to maintain his state, in his form of soul reaver he uses Iceheart or Nerien'eth with Bahraha's Curse and Caluurion’s Legacy, he uses Shattering Prison in PvE \ Rune Cage in PvP, Crystal Fragments, Dark Conversion, Daedric Tomb, Elusive Mist, Crushing Shock.
I use vampire hunger system to RP stages and vampire stage four is not last next one is uses Mind-Shriven Skin then Soul-Shriven Skin and Skeleton Polymorph last one, transfer to next stage I do when die, transfer back when soul trap enemy.

This sorcerer can transfer his essence from soul devourer vestige to constructed factotum chassis, in that's form he become more durable and achieve tank role, with thunderbug's carapace set and Livewire set he overload his dynamo core.

He can also achive healer role as Telvanni he knows how to manipulate flora and can use Chokethorn or can use dwemer devices and summon animunculi like dwemer spider or Centurion Sphere.

He also powerful summoner and know how summon scamps, clannfears, winged twilight, daedroth, storm and fire atronachs, but also experiment on clannfear gratification into Verminous Fabricant as part of his endeavor for creating new body.

And last but not least is my stamsorc she wolf half dunmer orsimer witch, she also have several aspects first is thunder wolf, Hircine combine his skin changer blessing with daedric powers of several daedra to create champion so my white witch has Infernal Maw and Hunger stomach and storm paws, can go into thunderous rage and devour her prey,

She uses thunderbug's carapace and Seventh Legion Brute with Stormfist with Storm Atronach Transform memento or Maw of the Infernal+Defiler+Hunt Leader, she is Pack Leader and so she have her Hunger Daedroth and two wolves one flame atronach wolf and one dire wolf mount, full pack of hungry beasts!

I'll necro this thread cuz I think we need to see more fun/unique build ^^

I've made a Templar healer with Dwemer/Apostle theme.
Not as effective as Olo/Aether obviously, but it's fun and it work even in vTrial so..
(we're not score pushing guild, we play for fun)

    Here is the set-up :

Monster set : Sentinel of Rkugamz (still cannot spell this word correctly:x)
=> Little spider Dwemer ; heal and give lot of stam (gonna be even better after patch)

    Armor set : Kagrenac
=> The Dwemeri Chief set ; very good synergy with Templar passive, allow me to rez in 3sec, very cool.

    Jewel/weap : Mad Thinker
=> The Apostle little bowling Verminous Fabricant ; lot of fun and fit the build well, always made me smile to see mob pull in the air ! (don't worry tank, mob are just in air and stun, they do not get splash around the room !).
I know, not a common choice for healer, but Templar have a 4 dot to proc it and the set bonus allow me to run 53% crit who help dps and heal.
And the theme is perfect !

    Mundus : Atronach
    Trait : big = infused+prism / little = divin+magicka
    Jewel : arcane+magicka regen
    Staff : resto = precis+absorb magicka / Lightning = infused+shock
=> basic healing set-up except for resto trait.

I've also use some Apostle motif to make my char closer to Dwemer, but still in progress (need a dwemer mount ><)

I was playing this char even recently with a very common set-up of gear and got bored to play a meta-clone with nothing really fun. But was loving my role, class and.. Dwemer story, so I decide to go for it and was looking for set to match the theme, luckily they was just enough of them to do it ^^

Again, it's just a fun way to play my heal and it work fine in every content if you do not score pushing !

Hope you like it and don't forget to share your fun build too, game are about fun after-all

    The Pokemon master.

    Warden,
Maw of the Infernal, Defiler , Morkuldin
using spider webs, the bear ult etc

It's a fun duelling build. You aren't tanky, you don't deal a whole lot of damage and you don't heal that much but it's pure stress for your enemy to avoid all of those pet attacks.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

Yeah the Mad Thinker need a look at how it proc. It should aim the closest mob, not proc in a random direction like it did sometime :(

I have a stamblade for pvp that keeps surviving nerf after nerf after nerf without drastic change, purely because it's not meta. I've never shared the build because I'm sure it would get nerfed.

The Cryomancer is a very enjoyable playstyle imo. Especially on nb with swallow soul it looks like the magic employed by vampires in Skyrim. (Serana used ice spikes and that vampiric drain spell).

My fun builds are usually themed around something be it lore or natural element..
I've a Peryite fun build made of Affliction/Plague slinger and Velidreth for now ( hope to get good enough to get Thurvokun and Marseelok helms)
Earthquake build with Sellistrix, Pillar of Nirn, Red mountain.
Still thinking about something for siege/ counter-siege when I want to chill in PvP.

Been leveling characters using Kristofer ESO's 5.6k Wep/Spell Beginner Hybrid Build for 4 or 5 characters now. Good fun in that you can be any race, any class, and use any weapons or skills, stamina or magicka. Really lets you learn your class and skills.

But I did have great fun leveling a necro healer using Withered Hand and Redistributer sets. Was enough fun that I went lvl 1 to 50 (already had CP cap) on a four-day weekend (around 20 hours play) without grinding or doing anything remotely repetitive.

I guess my fun build is meta, but here goes...

    Magden + False God's + Skoria.

Bird of Prey + FG = zoom

Skoria = comet, even better if you're on a controller and can feel it proc

Shalks + Blockade + Winter's Revenge + Fetcher if needed = can mostly kite aggro things and zoom away while throwing down these skills and things just die along the way

The bear's aight but permafrost is a lot of fun too... Bonus if you've got your Fighters Guild leveled up, have maxxed put that passive that generate ultimate when you kill undead or daedra, and are around a lot of undead or daedra... Basically you have a perma blizzard.

Maybe I'll grab a set of Mad Tinkerer to round out the build... That little fabricant is hilarious when it dramatically keels over dead after it procs.

I like to choose only the starter class and race and then just play the game, see what my charactre learns and finds and use that, develop that. This way i have a nightblade that using destruction staves as weapons and it works very well. I also have an Orc sorcerer that will smash you to pieces using two-handed if you dare to or even manage to get close.

I am not big on playing PvP, though and i only use the strong, survivable charactres for group dungeons, since obviously not every charactre will be up to those challenges this way, but some definetely are.

My fun build is an Hybrid MagDK. 28k magicka, 24k stamina.
Bloodspawn + Fury + Pelinal, full heavy, SnB on Backbar and resto staff on frontbar. Tristat enchants on everything, Tristat food, Atronach mundus (the Warrior if you are comfortable with your sustain). Infused jewelry with weapon damage enchants. I'm a dark elf and Vampire. Try to stay at Stage 1 if you can (use Bloody Mara to lower your vampirism level).
You have to keep up Volatile armor + Igneous Weapon (you need to use Igneous Weapon morph as you want to raise up your weapon damage, and then let the Pelinal copy these stats to your spell damage) + Rapid Regeneration, and slot Vigor on your backbar.

Tons of hot through rapid regen + vigor + lingering health pots (use them on cooldown, always up).

When you are under pressure, switch on backbar, hold block, Fury stacks starts adding up, you will heal like a truck with the hots and by casting Vigor (which will have a very interesting tooltip for a magicka build) on cooldown. Coagulating Blood when needed for a burst heal, if you run out of stamina.

While defensive, start building your offensive combo with with Engulfing Flames + Burning Embers then switch on frontbar and proceed with draw essence + fossilize + whip + whip (the second one will be against an offbalance target). With fury stacks at maximum level, and Pelinal that raise your spell damage equal to your weapon damage, you will hit like a truck. Still not sure about draw essence, but at the moment I found nothing better than it (health sustain + damage). Devouring Swarm as front bar ult, Leap as backbar ult (can be both an offensive or a defensive ultimate depending on the situation, thanks to the Battle Roar passive).

The fun thing is that most of the people when see a magdk using Vigor they sense a noob and come very aggressive on me, with little or no care about keeping up buffs, while I can easily stand the damage of a full group in battleground and hit them like a truck when I switch to offensive mode.

Sadly this build will no longer be as effective as it is today, due to the incoming nerfs to the Fury set. However, very fun build to play.
