Shield calculations help

Can someone post/link a post the shows how shield strength is calculated in Murkmire?
Google has failed me unfortunately.

Primary concerns:
Scaling equation (base shield strength + [1-x][Magicka])
Shield resistance calculations--primarily concerning WHEN resistances are calculated--static vs dynamic

Which shield are you talking about? I will presume conjured wards morphs and annulments, both of which only scale with max magic, 39% for the former and 34% for the later. Which is then capped at 40/50% of your max health, depending on the morph choice you make.

As for shield resistance, this is the thread you want-

awesome thank you. Forgot to clarify, but yes, conjured and annulments.

Looks like a great thread. Did a quick drive by and couldn't find when a shields resistances are calculated. Are they based off your current stats or the stats you had upon cast?

So for example, if I was using a defending resto and cast Annulment and than switch to my offensive bar, would the shield still benefit from the defending trait?

Based on what I have seen on live so far I would say yes, but it would be nice to get clarification.

    Thank you again.

i would think that it updates, this would simple enough to test though, just put Bound Aegis on one bar and go get hit by a mob.

Edit: just did the test quick, it does update, it uses the current armor you have on the bar you are on.

Thank you. Was at work and obviously couldn't test, at least not without getting in trouble xD.

Good to know as it affects a lot of builds I've been working on.
