Probably a small glitched surface tile on some spot, or something, which you moved over. Similar to like when you sprint on a mount, jumping on some spots sometimes can make you jump up lot higher than normally possible, making you hurt on landing.
It's because fall damage is calculated on the amount of time being in the air, not on the distance to the surface. If for some reason you'd jump up and not come back down (like those glitched narrow spots as you described), when you do land again, the damage can be quite insane.menathradiel wrote: »I just found it amusing to get so much fall damage from that little drop.

What happened (I think) was I fell between the boat and the dock and glitched there. I sort of floated with my arms up after leaving the walkway and wahttps://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/444791/trading-guilds-versus-auction-house/p2s stuck there for about 3-4 seconds before the death recap popped up.
I just found it amusing to get so much fall damage from that little drop.

That's kind of funny. I've gotten "Environmental Damage" of over 23k twice in BGs while I'm in play near enemy spawns.
