Disclaimer: Not my video - This is IMO one of the best content creators for eso. Most dont know of him, but he is on you tube and twitch. I just watched this video and it is a no death run with a differrent approach to gear, but very doable. He gives instruction on sigils and skills. If you still want to play your sorc in vma with a shield, check this out. It's not for everyone, but I think it could help people out. If you can catch him on twitch he is using a sorc tank to great effect. Check it out

Ya interesting build. I am going to try it. I ha e been doing good with a differsnt build and no shield. I have not tried vma although i have been having a great time runing vet dungeons again.

Tldr: he uses Plague Doctor and Necropotence so he can have a big shield.

Might try a similar build but toruqs instead of plague doctor for a little more damage

By the way, I think you could get more benefit and achieve the same effect if you switched out Plague Doctor for Twice Born Star with Health mundus added and a couple Hakeijo enchants on the big armor pieces. You would end up with the same amount of health, but you would also get around 2K extra Stamina.

Don't need a big shield to beat vMA. Just need a shield.

man.. there is even a video of a stamsorc bow light attacking only through vma with 1 death or flawless not sure.

i cant listen to audio atm cause im at work watching this lol, does he say why he chose that race, and why he runs skoria instead of the other sets that pop another pet? im like 100% amazed that this is even possible and i never knew it until now haha...he didnt even swap bars i dont think

i must say this is the best ever build guide i have seen anywhere. i am officially Stormproof now. and i've been trying to clear vMA (to no avail) for over a year, couple of times a week, sometimes for hours, trying different builds that "100% work". yesterday was the day i cleared it for the first time (thanks to this build, slightly modified) and i started to farm it, that's how easy it is. run it 3 times, got Defending Resto. staff, 1H+Shield and Infused Inferno staff (yay!!). and the farming is going to continue. thanks to the video creator, you made it possible.

p.s.: what i run is 2x Illambris, 5x Necropotence (body), Plague Doctor jewelry and lightning staff. skills are Hardened Ward, Volatile Familiar, Inner Light, Power Surge, Blockade and Ele. Rage Ultimate with tri-stat food. almost had a Flawless run the last time yesterday, i only died because i am a certified noob and forgot to make sure that my Surge was on a couple of times. so i dieded to death..

He has been using this same charcter as a prt sorc for a long while. He is only using one bar here so you can see VMA can be beat. I believe that he uses skoria because of the ease of its proc with this set up.

I'm sure there are other ways, he also has a youtube video of a 1 bar magplar beating VMA. Mistress tries to encourage you to play and complete content. He is not worried about the "META" build. I watch alot of his content and he has the meta gear. If you ever get to watch him tank, it's impressive. I watch them stream a proggression of vhof with him sorc tanking, most meta Tanks wont like his build, but he got the job done and did it well.

@mzprx Glad you could get a build to work for you. I did the same after seeing his vid. I went and swapped the gear and could survive VMA again. It wasnt my first time, but i still need some more weapons. Glad you got the fire staff. All told I've ran VMA around 80 times and have never got a fire staff. I have actually got the resto staff 30 times.(I counted again to make sure). I would say you have to love rng, but I dont. Congrats on the clear and happy farming.

I run a slight alteration to this when I farmed VMA. Backbar I had elemental susceptibility for bosses and power surge which just needs 1 bar swap every 33 secs. Then just scamp aoe, elemental blockade and light attack your way to victory. I liked using necropotence, queen's elegance and illambris.

Daedroth stomp ONESHOTS me (this stage is always like 10+ deaths for me). This guy barely lost half of his shield...

Also a bit later when boss stuns him. His bite did 7700 damage. It ALWAYS DOES 27k to me when I play!! I bet this video is a great montage of normal/vet runs.

I've been following Mistress for a while and watched alot of his twitch streams. He does not use any cheats. He is a very experienced player and thoery crafter. He is very good with a pet sorc. With some practice and rng luck you can do what he is doing. Good Luck to you on VMA.

You're probably trolling, but it's ok, I understand how fanboys operate... I asked straight questions. How is it possible that oneshot mechanics almost heal him. I wonder if someone knows. I don't run vma because I farmed all weapons there, but I always looking for weaknesses in game I play, just to point it out and because it is my job after all.

I'm glad that you have cleared vma, congrats to you. I play when I can and watch content creators often on my phonebecause i can watch at work. That does not make me a "fan boy" or mean I'm "trolling" you. I have multiple clears myself and know how frustrating it is. Generaly knowing where the spawn points are keeps you away from the one shots and the poison flowers are always rng. As for lag, sprint bug, and no diversity, well , for that you have talk with ZOS.

So I got my first VMA clear last night on this build.

I was on stage 6 with my NB so i was familiar with those first levels and i pretty much blasted them with the sorc. 6 gave me some trouble and deaths, so did 7, 8 was nothing, and the final stage took alot of time but i finally pieced it all together.

So then i went back in and ran it again. I died once on 4 but that was because my charge ran out. I died once on 5 (less than first by far) and 0 on 6. 7 still caused me problems but not as many and 8 was still cake. I went to bed before i attempted 9 again but it took me less than 10 deaths to get there. Once you get the rhythm of the arena and the sorc it becomes second nature. I prioritize staying alive and things just die on their own.

TY for this build and GL to others trying it.

I just got to stage 9 to night only had a bit to play.
Im excited and nervous.

I got to the top one time cant seem to burn boss and do it again.

Just have to keep going. Probably cant play for a few days , but no worries.

This is basically a high damage tank build. I have been using this for years. I recently ran across someone in a trial that told me it was a trash build and I should off tank.
I was running frontbar sb and backbar lighting staff.

I was not mic'ed at the time. He was a guild leader.

I didnt want to tank for him because I felt like he thought if a build didnt come from known youtube content creator, then it cant be a good build.

I dont tank for idiots. So, i left them with no tank. Feel bad for whoever takes his advice.

Nevertheless, yes, its a good build that will add some dps and great survivability for malestrom as well. In vet trial setting you can add another bar for sb.
