Can Stamblades be brawlers?

flyingturtles92
Hey everyone, I'm an on-and-off player suffering with altoholism and delete-way-too-many-characters-because-they're-ugly syndrome. I really don't want to have to make this choice again; I'm tired of it and I just want to get to max level with at least 1 character after 135 hours of game time (current highest char is lvl 26).

I want to make a character that is pretty good at dishing out damage, while being able to take quite a few hits himself without tons of dodging/elusiveness (for pvp). I really like the look and feel of nightblades... their attacks and sounds have a certain "crunchiness" to them that just makes them oh so satisfying to kill people with. However, as I look more and more into it, I realize that stamblade might not be the best fit. They seem to rely way too much on dodging rather than class based sustain and healing: cloak is unreliable and often doesn't work (in pvp). So, I'm wondering if stamina nightblade makes a good brawler, open combat toe-to-toe in your face playstyle for pvp. I like how stamblade performs in pve so far, but since I havent done a real dungeon yet, that might change .

So, can stamblades be bruisers in PvP? If not, which class would suit me best? I've done the starting quests too many damn times and I don't want to have to do them again (for daggerfall at least), so I wanna get this choice right.

Edit: Took a stamden up to lvl 8, and I hated the delay on all of the damaging skills. Felt really clunky to me.

Here’s a friend on mine on a Stam blade. Medium armor no Proc sets at all. No troll king no blood spawn. There aren’t many people who can pull this off.
