✭This only works for the people who bought ESO via Steam prior to a specific date.
Everyone who bought ESO on Steam after that won't be able to log in this way and only get an error message.

✭✭✭✭✭If it doesn't work for you, you can use the workaround by buying a Standard Edition key from any official third party retailer (like GMG) and redeem it on your ESO account page.
Once you've done that you can use the ESO64.exe method to bypass the Steam launcher, or download the regular PC launcher and ditch Steam altogether.PC-NA Goat1 -
