Secondary Alliance Wars

I was thinking a cool way to fill in some of the remaining map of Tamriel would be to have some huge update where secondary alliance wars are taking place within each alliance’s territory.

I guess they could craft some story as to why the war spreads beyond the borders of Cryodiil, maybe it’s to weaken the enemies by taking the war to them or whatever. Maybe they could have huge city hubs as safe zones where quests could be done and maybe allow the players to port in and out of these locations from these central hubs. Obviously there would be logistics to figure out such as how this would affect Cyrodiil and how would they handle more PVP content when there’s still work to be done on what exists so let’s just say for the sake of conversation this has already been sorted out.

A secondary reason I like this is it leaves a sizeable yet manageable amount of real estate for future content within Tamriel and beyond. Ideally I’d like to see Elseweyr as a full sized DLC, Sheogorath’s Shivering Isles realm on the outer ring and Skyrim as some sort of 10th anniversary update. Maybe southern Cyrodiil could be used as a sort of Thieves Guild/ Dark Brotherhood part 2.

With secondary alliance war areas and with what I outlined above it could fast track new areas like Akivir or Yokuda to appear in ESO. I’m sure some of this is wishful thinking but what are your thoughts?

Yokuda was blown into smithereens long ago during the war between Yokudans and the Left-Handed Elves, so I don't believe that section of Nirn is accessible (besides small scattered islands)...I personally think there is no point to visit Akavir when we barely have explored all of Tamriel itself. PvP DLCs I can't really see happening in the future either frankly because PvP isn't popular enough unfortunately.

However, Elsweyr is a very possible candidate for the next DLC/Expac...Even more of Hammerfell or the Reach if Zenimax is feeling adventurous. Despite how much I love Reachmen and Redguards, I think Khajiit could use the spotlight for the coming DLC.

Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

A lot of people would be angry over a new land to explore being tainted by open world PvP. The gates to that player hub would be permanently camped and all the PvE questers who don't know how to fight against players would get farmed unending.

Content being barred from you because of overzealous tryhards farming AP ruins the game.

Yeah, I figured it might annoy people but it wouldn’t really be any different than Imp City sewer entrances or gates in Cyrodiil. Players may grief in those areas but with the main objectives being out in the battlefields and the likelihood mobs will start flooding through the gates to punish such trolls I feel it could balance out.

Oh man get ready for fragile snowflakes rage. If someone dueling in the city can disturb them then imagine what open world PvP would do them :D

I’m just going to say a hard no on this, because not everyone wants a full PvP open world full of tryhards that makes the game completely unenjoyable or a game like WildStar.

Why is someone considered a 'fragile snowflake' if they do not wish to participate in PvP ?
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

I think ZOS should implement bounty hunter in ESO where the more infamy you obtain via killing enemy alliances the more likely you will be targeted.

I created a thread about this a while ago which would feature exclusive emotes, costumes, and skins/titles.
I also created another one trying to make ICP more influential in PvP

Because some segments of the PvP community in MMOs (not in ESO in particular) put far too much of their self worth in their ability to snuff newbies who don't know what they're doing.

Anyone claiming to want to actually play the game and not sign up to be ganked repeatedly by said players is, clearly, someone who needs to be attacked and driven through the streets before their ideas of, you know, actually playing the game, instead of preying on the weak, catch on.

I'm not talking about the ones that simply don't want to play PvP. I'm fine with them, they simply don't enjoy it but they don't mind if someone duels in the city, they don't mind IC being mixed zone not just PvE zone to farm Tel Vars.

Im talking about the ones that hate PvP just because it exists and they would do everything to remove it, to not see it, to be able to forget about its existence. They are fragile snowlakes because even watching someone's PvPing makes them hurt.

    Edit:
Because of that special snowflakes we can't have even OPTIONAL PvP in open world, we can't have bounty and justice system because that would force them to see PvP! OMG what a game breaking experience...

All the PvP experience in the world still won't do anything for you against some builds. l2p isnt an excuse here.

PvP content being barred because a bunch of PvEers won't git gud also ruins the game in the other way. Did you see the complains about IC or in mid year mayhem towns?
But alas, it won't happen since the majority of the game are PvE and "soft" PvE at that, aka the skyrim ones who run dropped gear and play heavy attack archers.

I was terrible at PVP when ESO came out and I still am to a degree just not as bad but I ended up enjoying Cyrodiil anyway. I managed as a semi decent PVPer to do all the quests and actually like the thrill of possibly being gangked.

ApqyAvy.jpgI wouldn't mind this. I don't do pvp unless I have to in order to get something I want so it would just be another area I don't really go to but if it makes other people happy I think that's great.
