Reverse certain armor set nerfs please

I'd like the mounted speed buff restored to the three-item line of Cyrodiil's Ward.
I'd like the post-kill speed buff of Dreugh King Slayer returned to 20 seconds, where it was before it got nerfed down to 8 seconds.

How about some reasoning as to why the changes should be reverted?
This looks like the post of a spoiled kid yelling "I want, I want, I want" - no offense, but the least you could do when asking for changes is to justify them.

@Galarthor , there wasn't enough reasoning for them to be nerfed in first place. Nobody wields VO / DKS / QS in PvP (and who does, well, pays a lot while not enjoying much of the sets' bonuses), those are sets mostly used in PvE where speed boost wasn't causing any imbalance. Justification should be given for nerfs, not for why one shouldn't nerf something.

@John_Falstaff , you always have to bring forth some reasoning as to why it should be changed. Even if that reasoning is just that the previous changes were done without any justification. Nobody will take you seriously if you just say "I want XYZ".

While I agree that ZOS needs to better communicate their reasoning behind balance changes, they did provide reasoning for these changes. If I recall correctly:
    1) Cyrodiil's Ward was changed to make it generally more attractive (i.e. more than a set you'd only use when riding on a mount)
    2) Dreugh King Slayer was changed due to an overall change in the duration of speed buffs. They all got cut (except for that Dark Brotherhood potion), just look at boundless storm. Nobody felt that those 7 sec speed buff were OP. But it had to be reduced to account for the changes to other sets / skills.

@Galarthor , that's right. So the topic starter questions the reasoning as to why the change has been done. Because, well, it already has been done, OP isn't asking for some change of his own. World of difference.

And the points you brought is what I categorize under "wasn't enough reasoning". Those are different sets, used in different situations, and 'due to overall change in the duration of speed buffs' doesn't make sense. Some shields were nerfed, some not - so, taking the use cases into account is apparently a thing. Why not selectively change speed buff durations too is a mystery to me.

@John_Falstaff , he is not providing any reasoning. He just says "I'd like" which essentially says "I want". There is no arguing about that.

"I'd like the mounted speed buff restored to the three-item line of Cyrodiil's Ward." and "I'd like the post-kill speed buff of Dreugh King Slayer returned to 20 seconds, where it was before it got nerfed down to 8 seconds." do not contain a single arguement.

What he is asking for might very well be justified. But nobody is going to take him serious if he does not provide solid reasoning for his proposals / wishes.

The selective shields nerfs were also explained - at least superficially: They don't like magicka builds beind able to ignore boss mechanics. Since small shields don't really allow you to ignore boss mechanics only large shields got hit by the nerf bat.

But I agree with you, ZOS needs to do a better job at communicating with it's customers. Explanations given are at best very superficial. Though, given the horrible and extremely coutnerprocuctive changes made lately, I am not really sure ZOS has a solid objective explanation behind the changes most of the time.

@Galarthor , should he? I mean, he isn't asking for change. He's asking for change to be rolled back. Who does the change, justifies it. I don't see good justification, and the quote from the patch notes you brought is as lousy a justification as they ever come. With such justification, is it a surprise that so few take devs seriously? (Including yourself, since you're complaining about devs' far-sightedness in the neighboring thread about enchantments.) So... it goes both ways. Change happens, but we're not given much as to why. No wonder people ask them to be reverted, and it's hard to find 'why' for reversal, because, well, real question is 'why they happened in first place'.

Granted, that part - question 'why were changes made?' - was omitted from the post, but during PTS cycle, it was asked so many times in PTS forum threads... and no responses at all. Then again, most changes were just made without any communication, so no surprise.

@John_Falstaff , we agree on most but let me illustrate why you should always give some reasoning when you want to be taken serious.

Imagine you bought a TV and go back into the store and say "I want my money back". You probably won't see your money again. However, if you say "I want my money back because the TV is broken" you have a pretty decent chance of getting your money back.

It's common sense and practice to layout the reasoning behind ones claim / demand.

Completely false. The OP himself even implies that he himself uses it in PvP by mentioning it along with a PvP set...Also, exactly where in PvE would the difference between 8 and 20 seconds matter? I can't see it, but I can see where it matters in PvP.

@Kadoin , so one person wielding it makes it a PvP set? Or somehow makes it more viable than so many sets actually useful in PvP? I'm not sure how 2k stamina on -kill- matters in PvP, or Minor Slayer. I probably won't reply to your subsequent question about 20 vs. 8 seconds as it's absolutely beside the point and you're trying to derail the thread with it.

@Galarthor , I don't think it's the right illustration. Imagine you bought a TV and then, service worker came to you and broke it with words "it'll be better like that". You call them and say "I want my money back". And they ask you to bring your arguments as to why you should give your money back and why TV will be better off if it's not broken.
