It's actually the opposite in ESO. The lighting in charter creation is so bad that characters end up looking better than expected in proper lighting conditions.0 -

Yes!! I often find myself wishing I could just access my crown store hairstyles, adornments, and face markings during character creation instead of having to spend 5 minutes applying this stuff after I finish my toon (and then typically starting over again based on how it looks once I apply those crown items). PS4 NA

✭✭Saving & history would be great, since I absolutely suck at character creation, I crutch on the random character gen. Would be good to at least be able to "bookmark" specific appearances, in case I can't find a good one.
Better lighting would also help, with control of the lighting. Being able to have a directional light that we can rotate, as well as turning it off and relying on ambient lighting to see how that looks.0 -

I just take pictures of all sliders.Yeah I know that I could be doing printscreens but by using phone I immediately have full presets on my phone which I later use to set all sliders to what they were before. This way saves me some time and is good enough for the task at hand.0 -

Seriously other mmo's let you save a character and I know for a fact FFXIV let's you switch scenery to get different lighting for your character to have an idea what they will look like in game. Get with the times ZOS.0 -

OMG yes, how many times have I been enjoying creating a character and BOOM, time out. Have to start again, sometimes when I have got to the end and am deciding on a name! Its ridiculous.
