Use the old non NDA system and expand the transparency for all players further.
I sure in the hell dont want class reps if this is how it will work.

I don't get why any class rep would willingly sign this. Sounds like ZoS is just looking for the classreps to be their scapegoats.

Regardless of how many bad changes the classreps will be able to prevent with this, nobody will know. At the same time there will always be some changes that go through that a part of the community will dislike. I can already see the forum threads how the class reps are "useless" because some change went through that people disagree with.

The fact that the classreps didn't collectively say no to ZoS's NDA is probably the biggest failure of the classrep system so far.

The bad decisions ZoS makes are ZoS's problem and I don't see why we need classreps to tell ZoS that something is a bad idea. If ZoS wants that kind of input they have to hire these knowledgeable and caring people and build a proper balance team with a clear vision and transparent goals.

The root issue is ZoS's inflexibility when it comes to addressing problems during a PTS cycle or even in incremental patches. True balance doesn't exist and there will always be mess ups. That is okay, but ZoS more often than not instead of acknowledging a mistake will simply ignore it.

The announced change to infused weapons is how it should be and hopefully will be a start of a change, even though I am very skeptic about that.

I'm afraid that you and many others in this thread are completely missing the point.

Currently devs will not share info about big changes regarding combat balance with the reps in early stages. The reps learn everything at the same time we do.

With the signing of the NDA, the devs will have more freedom in the info they disclose to the reps, so that reps may quench concerns at a much earlier stage, allowing the dev team to consider appropriate changes over a longer timespan than they are currently where it mostly just ends up with "we're sticking with it".

So what does this NDA mean for the rest of us? Effectively nothing. Things will stay the same as is for the rest of us. We will learn about combat changes and balancing when the patches hit PTS. The important difference is that by the time they hit PTS, the reps will already have had a chance to give their input on said changes. They just won't be allowed to tell us anything before the PTS stage.

Why do the devs fear sharing their ideas openly? It's not like they are discussing the cure for cancer or some uber important intellectual property. I agree that new mechanics ie spell crafting or the likes should stay under wraps but stuff that is currently in the game doesn't need that.

Because they are part of a company, and have to stick to strict marketing plans...

Is public relations not one of those marketing plans?
    Zaghigoth- Orc Stamplar
    Soul Razor- Altmer Magsorc
    Les Drago- Redguard Stamdk
    Eirius- Altmer Magdk
    Stormifeth- Altmer Magplar

Disclaimer: My comments are a little sarcasm mixed with truth. If you can't handle that don't respond to me.

here at zenimax we dont want to listen to you. we are far too busy working on our next overpriced crown store items, shiny new designs for our gambling crates, and coming up with groundbreaking ideas on how to neuter the next class.

we don't want to be held accountible for our product anymore, so talk to these 4 or 5 other fans of our game instead and maybe if youre lucky we wont nerf your build into the ground on our next patch. from now on if you dare speak a little criticism about our product, we will neuter you too. oh and be sure to like and subscribe to eso+
