Are Rewards of the Worthy predetermined?

If I save all of my rewards of the worthy and only open them after Murkmire drops, will I have a chance at getting any Spell Strategist stuff?

    Double post?
if I could make another character, their name would be Cries-For-Character-Slots. AKA, I need more.

I think the possible rewards are set the moment you receive them with mail. The ones which I've received before Murkmire patch (gathered up a few after doing lots of PvP) didn't have any of the new sets, and the few I've got a couple of days after sometimes had those.
Life is a ride, like days in a train, cities rush by, like ghosts in the night.
The rhythm of wheels, time fades away, stations of a journey, destination unknown.

As mentioned above. No. Zos knows we think like this so they make the new RotW satchel a different item than the old one.

No. This is clearly stated in the patch notes.

It would be unfair to allow you to stockpile old containers so that you would immediately stockpile new items simply because the loot table changed overnight.

RotW containers prior to Update 20 have different ID numbers than post-Update 20 containers to prevent this exploit.

It wouldnt really be unfair. You had the foresight to save the containers. You should be rewarded.

It's no different than stockpiling Undaunted keys, aside from being able to sell RftWs

    'Fairness' is subject to interpretation.

It you were hoping to run the new sets on Day One, or become a millionaire overnight, the the exploit prevention would be 'unfair', I suppose.

*shrugs* Seems like a minor issue to me either way. New/Old RotW containers both have stuff in them.

No, you won't. However, the answer to the title is also no. The drop table is probably locked in when a container is looted, but the contents themselves are randomized when you first open it.

    Is this a serious post?

Any regular PvP player runs into issues with clearing out RotW containers because they clog incoming mail ... which is surely not “foresight”.

Most people don't save them though. Most people open them and sell the gear within for pennies, or toss them out because they don't contain anything of value.

They take up inventory space, therefore if you save them that is indeed "foresight" if you decide to eat the punishment of less inventory and/or mail slots for the payoff of potentially getting some valuable items.

Is it unfair because if old containers contained new items, then the people who threw theirs away would be throwing a fit?
