VMA Flame Staff Drop Rate

Ive ran VMA for 1 week now ive ran it atleast 25-30 times and have not even gotten 1 flame staff drop. All i keep getting is sword n board, dual wields, and two handed sword and mauls. Does anyone else have this issue? Running vma is getting reeeeaaaallly boring now

I have every weapon from vMA multiple times over.....except the bow. After running vMA at least 200 times. The one weapon I truly want for my PvE bow users.

No, got the opposite issue where all I get are bloody flame staves....despite hunting for the bow...

I am half convinced they weight the drops to give you the opposite of your most used resource.

i have ran vma well over 400 times, ive had the lightning staff drop twice ice staff drop twice aaaand 0 fire staves. If the fire staff isnt the lowest weighted item on the drop list i'll eat my hat at this point, its probably the most sought after drop and for that zenimax needs to dangle the carrot on the stick to keep you playing far longer than you planned trying to acquire an item that may or may not even drop

The double drop event is where it's at if you wanna farm weapons. I wanted a flame staff and got 2 from the same run, haven't been back in since.

I got bored after the second run so I admire your fortitude... I got a dagger with training, a friend has been at it since it first appeared, currently at two hundred runs, they have never seen a fire staff of any description, instead it seems bent on giving he bows.... she realy hates bows....

It's all rng. Someone in a guild got at least 5 ice staves in a row (not including the weekly leader board rewards). Someone I used to know but no longer talk to got theirs on their first run. I got a lightning and restro staff yesterday on my Stam DK. RNG is cruel. Keep at it and you will get yours eventually.

Since Wrothgar patch and shes only on 200? Shoot... shes pretty slow. I had to run it probably 160 times to get my 2h greatsword back in the day when it was still good. And at that time you had to farm the specific trait you wanted as well. Quit complaining! Something tells me you've only ran it a few times and haven't gotten the drop you wanted so you come on here crying about it. Put in the work the rest of us did.

I have done it like 40 times and got 4 firestaves. Its just RNG

Here's a rough estimation of my drops:-

Bows: 75+
Sword n Board: 25+
Ice Staves: 25+
Resto Staves: 50+
Dual Wield: 75+
Lightning Staves: 1
Inferno Staves: 0
2 Hander: 0

The two things I really want, I never got. Even spent a few months leaderboarding for extra drops - still nothing. Given up.

Only took me 2 years to get my first flame staff, hang in there!

20 or so runs - 2 inferno, 0 lightning, 2 ice, 2 healing ones, 1 bow , 2 dw and 1 2h. The rest was s&b drops.

Hey, it could be much worse. We have transmutation now. Back when most of us were farming, you weren't just looking for the right weapon but also the right trait on that weapon! I've run vMA more times than I remember and have multiples of all weapons. The chance of getting a staff is actually better now because they split the three staff type a into separate chances instead of just destro staff vs other weapons, and then another round of rng for which type of staff.

What helped me was to focus on working toward Flawless Conquerer. If you stop caring so much about what is in the chest and just work on improving your skill and survival, it's likely you will eventually get the weapon you want.

I'm trying to fill my vma weapons horde. I need an axe. Last week I received 10 flames staffs. ZoS knows what you are wanting. They just do.......

My very first drop way back when was a Fire Destro , Charged. Never saw one again. I have a ton of Resto Staves though.

It is truly luck of the draw. A friend ran VMA once....just once and got the Inferno Staff. He has not been back. LOL

After 15 runs or so which 10 of them during the Orsinium event I have 4 bows, 4 infernos, 4 lightnings and some other weapons. Pure RNG. Keep doing it.

I still haven't finished it on normal.
I don't have the patience for it after dying every time to that poison bomb in the 7th or 8th? stage.
I really really gotta take a minute and watch a youtube video or something about it. Every stage up to that one was freakishly easy. Stupid poison bombs

4 inferno staves in a total of 26 runs. It's just bad RNG.

One was my first drop ever too.

If it would make you feel any better, my drop rate from vMA is much, much higher.. too crazy for me. Life is too short and meant to be enjoyed.

Got an infused inferno my first run of vma after switching from xbox to pc XD it's ok though I haven't had another decent drop since.

I got a CP 100 inferno staff on my secondary account's first maelstrom run. Hopefully when I run it again since I'm CP 160 now, I'll get another one. I've had relatively decent luck getting all the types of maelstrom weapons.

I did maybe 10-15 runs before I got my inferno. Put some music or a podcast on in the background, it really helps the mind numbing repetition.

Took me over 450 drops before I got my fist flame staff. You need to pump up those rookie numbers.

I’ve run vMA quite a bit on my mDK - vast majority of drops and leaderboard mails are stam weapons - so I do wonder whether running a stam toon is the best way to get mag weapons.

I’ve had two flame staffs drop both during the wrothgar event- final run - one year apart.

GL with it anyway.
