Currently many, if not most, homeowners with interactable objects are finding that since the release of Murkmire the following issues have arisen:
1. Crafting stations that previously worked, no longer can be used. The interactable prompt is missing regardless of permissions tested and/or used.
2. New crafting stations in a home, notably those from furniture packs are extremely difficult to place and get to work after placing.
3. Interactable objects previously placed in a home other than lighting, the banker, and the merchant are not providing an interactable prompt regardless of permissions tested and/or used.
4. New Interactable object like the Music Box only work immediately after being placed. If you log out and return to the home where they are located, the Music Box cannot be played.
During my course of testing this was consistent across all of my homes (and I do own all of the homes) on my primary account. On my alternate account, it seemed that for homes that pre-dated Murkmire that crafting stations and interactable objects worked as designed. Newly added stuff did not work. So the issue may not affect everyone or affect everyone in the same way.
The impact of these issues is extremely severe for trade and crafting guilds that have gone to extraordinary effort to accululate the costly attunable crafting stations for every set in the game. These guild hall crafting centers are just not working for most people, which means that Sealed Master Writs are much more difficult to do with all the travel involved and most folks are just stockpiling them until there is a fix.
The impact of these issues is extremely severe for homeowners that want to use there homes for light crafting and especially for making their own furnishings.
In some cases the crafting stations or interactable object can be activated within the housing editor and then will work for the owner for that login session. If another player enters the home then the objects quit working. This means guild halls may work for their owner sometimes, but will not work for the guild's membership.
It appears that these objects are behaving as though they are not greened - seated on an appropriate surface. Whether related or not, it might be worth noting that world objects in some zones are floating above the ground like runestones in Hew's Bane. You have to wonder whether some global adjustment to world interactable objects to have them work in the Murkmire swamps has caused things to go awry in other zones. If that is the case it suggests that game code needs to have some kind of:
If Murkmire
Then behave in x manner
Elseif
Then behave normally
Obviously that is greatly simplified conceputalization, but the idea is whatever was done to make things work in Murkmire has to be limited to Murkmire and not making a mess of things for everyone else everywhere else in the game.
I realize that there are related posts on the forums. Notably there are posts at:

However, these posts have not gotten any recent love from ZoS. The latest comment from ZoS was on September 9 before Murkmire was released and before the problem spread to most homeowners. So it is my hope that maybe this will get more attention here and perhaps help the community and especially all of the affected homeowners in Tamriel.
I have to think that as profitable as player homes and all the furnishings are to ZoS that this set of issues should take priority and get addressed quickly. Whether or not that is true, I sure hope that we can get some help. This is a huge quality of life issue for our homes, our crafting, and out guilds. Please help us out!! SOS . . . SOS . . .SOS
