Hey.

So I was running around and I accidentally picked up an item labeled “drink” and it turned out to be Kragenmoor Zinger Mazte. That reminded me of something.

We need to be able to place food and drink out in our homes. Specifically the food and drink needed for holiday achievements.

I send them to my guildies upon request but I’m not on all day, if we could have a furnishing that we could donate to the guild so the GM can put the food out in their house that would be really great improvement. I’m thinking we craft 40 of a food and then use a “to go box” consumable that will create a “plate” or “keg” or “drink”. We then send it to the GM to put it down in the guild house (or the GM can do it herself, the point is that it’s tradeable once combined). That way we can just put up a message that says, “Get your achievement food at the guild house!”

I mean, you can already place food and drink sin your place, but it's entirely cosmetic.

Actually giving stuff to people? I think your best option might simply be the guild bank.

There are a lot of technical challenges in making something like this both functional and fair.
Even if this type of furnishing could be made at all, how do you allow multiple account characters to use it while preventing somebody from cleaning out the entire inventory?
Is there really enough off-season demand to justify the development? There has to be a certain baseline of utility rather than appealing to a few spikes of interest. And you're taking a piece out of the seasonal recipe market, which winds up priced to quantity demanded anyway and at least the buyer learns how to make the food/drink.

The random meal or drink might not be so bad. You're paying more to make the furnishing than the person taking it would make selling it. But it would constantly affect furnishing count.

I'm seeing this more as a niche feature than a community one.

And you really want people who aren't permitted guild bank access, for good reason, to be able to hoover up stuff in your house?

    That sounds... "unwise."

Yeah but in this case it’s just a plate of food. One at a time. I guess they could sit there spamming it on the Double Bloody Mara or something but seeing as I make 4 servings for each attempt and can make over 1000 attempts, I’m not as worried.

Okay, what if it was a memento like the Witches Cauldron? Everyone in my group can take a sip babes. Imagine providing top shelf food for the entire raid

Trials have crafting stations in the instance. You could just walk up to the cooking fire there.

Two problems here, one, you don't usually want to send someone on their way with one serving. I mean, if they're in there for more than two hours, you expect them to come back, pick up more, and leave again?

Second, if you really want to chew up 20 stacks just for Double Bloody Mara... I hate to tell you, but there are better buffs than that.

Hm. I guess I just want actual Trick-o-treating. If they had an achievement for Witches Festival and for Yule that had us go around to player houses and have a snack/eggnog it would give functionality to the houses and be another community bonding event. So many events can be completed solo or 90% solo.
