Should affect Bone Shield. I mean, off hand I know it affects Hatchling's Shell. Bone Shield is a health based shield, not a health capped one. So, 54 points in Bastion should push it to... 48% max health, regardless of your stam pool.
Unless I'm seriously misremembering the skill, it might be better for a mag build than annulment in some situations now.

your right, bone shield isnt capped at 50% like the other two. it was just reduced from 100% to 50% of max health, but still increased with bastion. that the synergy shield im talking about.

Oh, did the synergy shield get nerfed? That's kinda unfortunate, but not unsurprising. Because the base version was 35-39% as you ranked it up. But, the synergy was full health. I mean, with the changes to shield resists that would have been kinda bonkers.

because as you said resistance now effect shields.

Problem with this is that Bastion still works, as intended, on 98% of the damage shields in the game..

And those 98 % of the shields are utter useless. Barrier is the only shield with some strength, and that's an ult (and hardly used at all, except for carrying scrubs in a PUG). All the DK class shields are pathetically tiny, even with resistances they will vaporise in an instant. They also got nerfed in strength this patch. So why would you put points into Bastion for that? +10 % of nothing is still nothing. All other class shields are also utter rubbish, and most of not all gear shields are rubbish. The only shields people used were Harness and Conjured. Healing Ward too, but that also got the shaft this patch, so we'll see if that's even going to be used any more.
The 40 % health cap was "ok" if they at least made Bastion enable you to go beyond the cap. As it is, Bastion is indeed dead in the water.
Just another reminder to ZOS that Bastion is completely useless now. This patch has turned it into a dead CP node that nobody will use.
Since shields are now hard capped at 40% or 50% of your HP, depending on which skill you use, any post-modifiers to shields are wasted.

Either change it so that Bastion will still modify your damage shield, or scrap the node and turn it into something else. This is just crap.
