Tbh all we need is a good addon. Let Zenimax do more important (server-side) things....

becasue 2/3 of the population can go fork themselves, right? there are no addons for console players. and in any case, addon doesn't solve the issue. it just makes an issue slightly, VERY slightly less annoying to deal with, but its STILL annoying.

On the surface, this sounds like a good idea. However, having everyone's timers reset at the same time will create a login logjam around that same time.

What would be better is if everyone had their own reset time at some set time during the day. What time that is should not matter after the first day has passed. We could still login each day when we want to and everything would be reset, but we would not have a jam trying to login all at once.

why would it? we already have bulk of the content reset at exactly the same time for everyone. pledges, daily writs and pretty much all the daily quests in every zone. and honestly, I'm not seeing much of a logjam

Try logging in about 5 to 10 minutes before the daily reward resets. It takes me several minutes to log in and then a few more to get to the character. Wait until 7:15, get into the game and character in less than 2 minutes.

True, most of the dailies reset at or around midnight, there is less of a load on the login servers simply because less play that late. But prime time? It is painful. This hits me hard as most of.my guild events start at 7 PM local, the same time rewards reset.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I sincerely doubt that. Daily quests reset about 7 in the morning my time, I don't see lines of players queueing up at that time. Daily rewards reset at 2 in the night, I don't see a throng of players logging on there either.

If ZOS is so worried about a massive influx of players crashing the servers, they can naturally place the reset time at a very late or very early point where few people are even online. It doesn't matter when it is, as long as the rewards and quests and other dailies have a set reset from where you have 24 hours to complete them.
