Am I the only one having trouble constantly breaking CCs? (Single button bind)

I keep being unable to break CCs like all the time within the first 1-2 seconds they occur, even at max resources. It's so bad I'm sometimes not even botheirng to break it after a couple clicks. I just let whoever is on me kill me cause it's too tiring and frustrating. I can keep mashing the button 20 times and NOTHING happens.

Please tell me I'm not alone.

    Well. You're not alone. I blame my situation on 2000 ms lag though. Serious. I can't swap bars. I can't break CC. I can't roll dodge out of stuff. I can't get the quickslot to fire.

    Yeah. Sucks.

    I don't think its ping even. I get the exact same issues with 80ms ping.

    I've had major issues breaking free, but on ps4.
    So, I've been wearing Robes of the Hist and Reactive on my magplar....

    Take that, you unbreakable CC's!!!

    Huh. That's fine for light armor classes I guess. I have the most trouble with heavy armor classes though for some reason. In essence that makes sense (if you consider that tanks are not as mobile....); however, no matter which class and what armor, it's never any better. I guess I can try Hist etc. on my mag folks....

    @Nyladreas: which key do you have bound for that? I tried to bind it to my middle mouse button, but it wouldn't let me. That button would be ideal for me.... *sigh*

    Doesn't reactive only work on hard CCs though?

    I've had the same problem. Tried tweakin on my end, did not improve. To cope with this situation (magicka characters) I changed armor glyphs so max stam should around 14k, figure on different setups vary but simply 2-3k more stam than usual.. and I did invest few more point on break free cost reduction CP for all characters just in case...
    Back from my last hiatus. 2021 a new start.

    No your not. CC breaking is verrrrrrry unreliable for me.

    Yea while ping certainly plays a part, if it was just ping the issues breaking free would be the same for every CC, but it is not.

    For example, breaking free from a dizzying swing can be done almost instantly, while when breaking free from a reverb bash you have to look at your character sliding and flailing arms for what seems like forever while you mash that CC break button.

    I'm actually curious if the new patch helps - they did mention addressing CC break in a way in the PTS patch notes.

    I've been getting this for ages. Same with rooted. And my staff doesn't always fire.

    The three bugs that have been bugging me constantly.

    Edited to add: PC EU and that I don't have it bound to any key, just follow the instructions on the screen and swear when nothing happens.

    must be lag based, i swapped breakfree to caps so I had 1 button to spam the worse but is dungeons with breakfree mechanics that you seemingly press the button 20 times for and you break free at the last second or not at all

    I always have trouble breaking out of certain CCs...Most of them were formerly disorients. How coincidental, right?

    yeah, different cc resulting different animation and time which is suck.
    cc that i found annoying and buggy is javelin, nb fear, 1H+S bash, meteor, dk leap

    Happens to me too often. Other actions are often just as frustrating and non responsive.
    Everything will be alright in the end, if its not alright its not the end.
