What guild improvements and new features would you like to see get introduced?

I love a good bit of guild management, creating ranks, editing the MOTD etc. With that in mind, any guild leaders or co leaders have ideas of what they'd like to see implemented to make guild quality of life better and more exciting??

(Apologies for the essay)

Here are some of my ideas:

Stacking guild bank inventory:
Withdrawing and stacking in your own inventory takes too long. A simple push of a button would make life so much easier.

Guild Page Layout/MOTD:
Alot of guilds nowadays use coloured fonts to highlight certain things, like guild events, raffles, new traders, and generally make the page look nice and neat. The problem is that we only have the MOTD to write all the info. If we could have a system that allows you to create a headline or title and then write what you want underneath it and create nice paragraphs and sections that'd be great.

Ranks and Roles:
Like editing member notes, it would be great to be able to add notes to each rank so that members know what the role of each rank is. It would also be great to add a notification to when members are promoted, maybe even allow us to edit the congrats message or something. Also, add more symbols for ranks.

Tax system:
I know im not the only one here who has thought of this. Adding a tax system to guild stores would be interesting, but i know players can just donate if the guild needs a bit of gold to help fund bids. Set an x% on how much the guild takes in from guild store sales. Would make choosing and advertising your guild more fun.

Increased member cap:
I see guilds making expansion guilds and naming them, for example, Guild 2, Guild 3. Having an increased member cap would help guilds like this.

Guild perks or achievements:
Give your guild achievements and perks for having a certain member count, having sold a certain amount, having made x amount of gold, for simply being around for x amount of time. Titles such as Golden Merchant or Diplomatic Trader (i dont know) can be earned, even having perks that increase your total available listings from 30 to higher.

Guild store item search:
I really want this. It would make life so much easier when buying at stores. A nice simple keyword search feature instead of endless scrolling and it feeling like your eyes are about to roll into the back of your head.

Guild tabards:
I would like to see more patterns and designs available (ripped tabards, more decals). Id also like to see a hide tabard feature. I also think it would be good to add your guild decal symbol to your armour (itd be hard to see) but it would be cool.

Set automated messages/time intervals:
Guilds running events and raids could create automated messages that appear on guild chat to announce the event later that day or for the next, even while guild leader is offline. Intervals could be hourly.

Permission to withdraw/deposit feature:
Guilds have a problem with trusting players and allow access to the guild bank. Introducing a feature that requires approval to withdraw from certain members would help. A new permission can be added that allows certain ranked members to approve items withdrawn, maybe even deposited items too (no one wants useless junk thrown in). Of course, what happens if the item isnt approved? Maybe the request times out and the item becomes available again.

Also being able to represent your guild without wearing a tabard if you wear a costume this already happens so it should be optional

more tabard options, ive seen a ton of guilds that have the exact same tabards as my guilds.

Guild banners for housing would be awesome too

better MOTD ui would be nice

I agree with all of your points except for taxing. I don't think I've ever seen an MMO where that's been done successfully, but if EVE did it I'm sure it would work given its emphasis on trade and building an empire. If you have to tax your players to keep the guild alive, then it's quite clear they don't want to be there in the first place. In your defence, if they don't want to be taxed they can choose to leave.

The suggestion I want to see the most is being able to see chat logs prior to logging out. Given how account-heavy rather than character-heavy the game is, I can't stand by any roleplay reason for restricting conversation. It doesn't need to be since the dawn of time like in WoW, but the past 24 hours would be fair. Same with whispers.

Guild halls.

I know there are issues that need to be carefully managed but, it would still be a fantastic addition.

Actually, a friend recently had a medical scare. Thing is, he's the one who administrates the "guild hall." i also kmow of a guild that recently lost their guild hall, because of a falling out with the player who held theirs.

This kinda needs a more permanent solution.

Some of these have already been said but off the top of my head:

- More space to write in the MOTD
- A calendar where we can put events down which takes the viewer's time zone into account
- A way to add a description for ranks
- Set a house as the guild hall (or allow a separate house purchased by the guild to be it)
- Being able to send a message to your guild members without needing an external mass mailing addon
- A permission just to edit your own note and not other players'

In general I'd really just like some more in-game tools for guild management so I don't have to rely so much on Discord, which not everyone uses.
