Coming back to game, quick question

Hi folks, have a quick question.

Back when the game first came out, there was a feature where you could be helping someone on a quest that you already had done, but if there was an instanced part of it, usually the last boss, they would instance in by themselves, due to you already finishing it.

Is it still that way?

I would like to get my friends to try game again, but if thats still in, then they wont. We like being able to help each other, so not being able to help all the way thru on nights where we all group together to do quests, is pretty much a stop for them.

I'll be back, but hoping to get some of them to try it again also, and well get my wife to try for the first time, so not being able to group with her, other than a new character with her, I doubt I could get her to try it longterm.

Thanks

I'm pretty new at the game but there are some quest lines that are specifically solo (or with an NPC along) in nature. So your friends/wife wouldn't be able to group for those, no.

Welcome back! All groups are instanced together now. The actual quests are individual but even if you've completed a quest for a dungeon or area you'll remain in the same instance as the rest of your group. Just remember to stay grouped and you should be good!

    Thanks all, that helps.

Yeah one of the guys wife's raged quit on us back when game released cause we were all grouped and we were catching her up on quests, and yeah that happened.

So glad it's normal now, maybe be able to talk them into giving it a shot again.

I love the one tamrial. Looking forward to it again

If it’s any part of the main quest or guild quests it has to be solo but other than that I believe anything can be done as a group.
