AIM CURSOR AND ACCURACY

Hey guys, PS4 EU here

I have been noticing the last couple of nights that when try aim and snipe an enemy player in pvp I hit the guy next to him/her and this is usually a freaking npc. The same happens when I try to target a specific npc (say healer or guard) at flags. At times when I snipe I can see my arrow suddenly change direction to the left and hit totally different target.

Where my arrow points and where the aim cursor points are almost 5mm apart. This makes it difficult to do a precision snipe into a group of enemy players when they are all bundled together. example, if I want to snipe that 17k health sorc busy digging in his man bag in the middle of a group of 37k health tanks.

Has anybody else noticed that their aim is a bit off

PC here, no I haven't noticed that, but be aware that there is an item set that redirects projectiles aimed at other players.

Aiming has always been a bit iffy to me: many times in PVE I aim straight at a mob and the attack strikes a critter I didn't notice behind (sometimes not even in line) said mob

Yes I know about Beckoning Steel but don't think NPC's are wearing that.
I'm talking about aiming at a specific npc or player and you see the arrow change direction midway and hit npc or player always to the left of the intended target.

I will try to record it when it happens tonight, hopefuly its just a glitch and if more players happend to experience it then it could be fixed with a small update.

@albesca It would be nice if they could move the aim just above the player head, that way you get the feeling of aiming at your taget and not next to it.lol

Pretty sure it's because hitboxes in this game are giant squares around players. So you have a bunch of squares all overlapping each other which is what can make it really hard to target a player behind another player.

The player in fronts square gets in the way of the player in backs square.

I've noticed it lately on xb1 as well... Thought my controller was wearing out...
