General annoyances

Preamble: I know programming is hard. But rule number 1 is to never fix a thing which is working! :)

Just before Summerset, the application ran perfectly well.

At a certain update, sound lag was added to our player experience. Together with the sound lag, the event queue gets stuffed with sound and other events, which eventually run all together, when they could already become discarded. Swirling the blades in empty space and attacking invisible dungeon bosses has become the new rule.

In Summerset, as nice as it may look like, some areas are too rich of content, recalling the late nineties experience with stuttering turnarounds and unresponsive mouse and keyboard.

After analysing the problems, I have filed some tickets, which now fall all under feedback and seem to pass unseen. At least, I would expect a closed ticket at some point. I am not filing any bug with the /bug facility any more!

As with the dungeon finder, the find map location for quests, sometimes work and most of the times not. With features so important to the overall game experience, you should dedicate quite some time to fix them once and for all, or remove them altogether!

If you decide to remove them, then it would be of great help, if plugins gain more power. Networking and/or file access should be notched up, because we do have solutions for these problems: our solutions. Quite some of the players are techies, meaning that those people have a medium to high qualification in some of the essential features a game developer needs. Many of them are engineers and know how to make a dungeon finder reliably work at all times. Making perfect player matches, in the end, isn't so different from well known match makers of other Internet services, I hereby refuse to name :p

Another annoyance to me is the discovery of an ESO subscription problem, which in fact was brought to me during the 2 episodes we could try: The inability to access new chapters. Summerset for example. During these 2 "no strings attached" periods, I found out that I had to buy the chapter, no matter if I had an ESO subscription or not. And this is unacceptable! I believe, you must revisit your strategies. If somebody makes an ESO subscription, it must be a true "no strings attached", else, this kind of operation can be associated loosely to fraud. I am profoundly annoyed by this one! And, as I heard around, I am not the only one!
