Well, yeah, devs did a good friggin job in a matter of voice acting, but after spending a lot of time questing and exploring, you find a voices being a little too repeatative. Very very few NPC (Jorunn the Skald King, for example) have memorable voice lines (goojap by voice actors - it was still the same people who changed their voices to make those npc memorable).

Diversity is not wanted from ZOS.

    No Class diversity.
    No Build diversity.
Last two Trials where just Bosses. Diversity... much.

    more john cleese i say

im sure we could also shoehorn any of the following in there

Dexter Fletcher (great as some sort of market trader in)
    Danny Dyer (clearly a pirate)
    Stephen Fry (mages guild?)
Dawn French/Jennifer Saunders (Some sort of Wyrd Tree double act)
Frankie Boyle (a skull with tourettes)

That may be a bad example because they actually hired some big names for those particular NPCs. In Jorunn's case it was Peter Stormare and that's the only character he did.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-F2INzhv0Rw

Strangely, it doesn't seem at all out of place to picture Jorunn as the Russian cosmonaut, or visa versa.

Maria Doyle Kennedy did a stirling job as the loyal and lubbing wipe of Henry VIII.
Maybe get the woman who played 'Bubbles' in Ab Fab to be a new Bosmer voice? Or to revoice Stuga?

I would love Richard Lintern as a narrative. I love to hear his voice with every documentary. Even stupid documentaries are great to watch and listen if he does the narration.

Also you should hire Arnold Schwarzenegger. We need real comical voices and not what you did to the Augur voice.

    Also,
    - Peter Stormare
    - Tim Curry
    - Jack Black
    - Paul Haenen

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

I could care less if it's big names or a Joe off the street. If it was Joe, cheap is good. I think ZOS has done an outstanding job in this area, but, and a real small but, the two main NPC voices in the Murkmire prelude quests are, well, horrendous. But I do love the "BlaGuard" bit.

I think all the voice actors do an amazing job, but I get where you're coming from. After four years or so the same voices do seem a little stale even though some of my favorite artists appear. What I really want and have wanted since day one is Wes Johnson back as Sheogorath. The current actor does a brilliant job, but for me it's just not the same. I miss my original Madgod :(

No! Sir Cadwell is unique and I want him to stay unique. John Cleese did excellent work on it and I really don't want it to be buried under more cadwellike voices.

Same goes for Rigurt, the bestest ambassador in all of Skyrim. I have no idea what voice actor covers his voice, but please do NOT use that voice anywhere else.

They do hire new voice actors occassionally I think. Prior to Horns of the Reach I never heard Keith Silverstein in ESO but he is definitely in Bloodroot Forge. I do agree though that a greater variety, especially for new content to feel fresh, more voice actors would be appreciated.

    Voice acting gripes:
    • 90% of the "ambience" voices in delves and bandit camps sound Breton, actual race notwithstanding.
    • My Redguard merchant assistant, who cost many crowns, keeps yelling "Come! Do your trading here!" in a Khajiit accent.
    • Younger female Bretons, no matter how accomplished, usually sound ditzy.

But on the whole the voice acting in this game is outstanding.

    I like the voice actors.

When you go to England, everyone has that awesome Brittish accent ... they all sound alike to me. Or, people that speak native german (English is their second language) ... they all sound alike to me.

Our current voice actors are convincing, they are good voice actors. If there were a new female voice actor hired, and assuming they could do a convincing Argonian accent, I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the current female Argonian voice actor and the new one.

    1. ZOS isn't going to change the voices of base game characters. So someone is always going to feel stale to you. You've been playing the game for how long now?

    2. ZOS might hire new voices for the new content, but again, how much new variety is that going to add? They've probably got a core of available people they trust to do the accents right and there's no real incentive to trade out that core for a whole bunch of new people.

    3. You can't overuse your distinctive voices, or its not a new voice its "Balgruuf voices Shalidor."

So for all the great suggestions in this thread, I dont expect this to change.

Sometimes when I close my eyes I’m back in Rivet City. The voices are very similar to Fallout.

I wish Vanus Galerion and Divayth Fyr had famous voices. They’re current voices are fine, I just wish more Big Name NPCs had their own special voice, like the 3 alliance leaders have.

The standard npc voice actors are not very diverse.. But it makes me laugh to hear Jean grey and Wolverine from marvel heroes online a lot..

Pretty sure Jakarn was Wolverine.. And heaps of NPCs are Jean Grey.
