Health Regen Food

I have a Vampire Healer I use for Normal Dungeons:
vheals1.png
I gave her some food for Health boost and Health Regen boost (Blood Price food from Wrothgar):
vheals2.png
Her health regen was over 200 to begin with, and the food is supposed to give +500 regen.
So why is it only less than 600 regen? It should be around 700, right?

Obviously it's passed its expiry date.
You only need three things in life: love, a cold drink, and a sense of humour. : Said the guy who owns this account (Sorry I don't have a better role model who's quote I could steal instead)

You put way more value into health regen than you should. Try Witchmother's Potent Brew or Clockwork Citrus Filet

On a serious note though, was you playing with lower leveled players in the normal dungeon? If they weren't champion rank and they were in it before you it might've scaled your health regen according to what's suitable for their level. I could be wrong though, I've been staggering around like a drunk lost dog for so long I've forgotten the last time I played a dungeon.

Edit: And what he said, health regen in this game makes bog standard armour without traits at white quality look useful.

Ok but if she running around with the 276 or whatever health regen, she is gonna die quickly, right?

Why would she? Regen ticks every 2 seconds. There's no practical reason to stack health regen on a healer, or really any build except for the most niche of PvP tank builds.

I think it has to do with the vampire stage health recovery reduction.
At stage four, you get 75% health recovery reduced. I assume it would apply to your overall number, meaning that you won't get the full 500 from the food. It takes whatever your end result health recovery would be and cuts it by 75%.

You could run around with less than 100 health regen and so long as your heals are good or you've paid for a follower to heal you every time you get a paper cut then you should be fine.

Well ok. I have to admit she does not die much with the 500 regen. So maybe with the 270 regen she wouldn't die much either. It just seems like a very low number for health regen.

Health regen is only really a priority if you're a punch bag of a tank. For everyone else it's pretty much useless. Focus more on mag/stam recovery or maybe try increasing the value of your mag/stam count if you're having problems dying.

Most likely it's the health regen penalty Vampires get.

Though the numbers don't always add up correctly on this game. One time I stacked the hell out of magicka regen and I was not getting back the amount I was suppose to.

If you're a healer you have absolutely no use for health regen, almost every heal you cast can heal your self along with others.
Healing Springs, stand inside the circle and you heal with everyone else.
Breath of Life, heals you and another target.
Combat Prayer, heals you and everyone in the cone.
Energy Orb, heals everyone in range, including you.

Even as a dps/tank health regen is a waste to stack because every class has access to more effective ways of healing that also don't require sacrificing more useful stats in the process.

Yeah, I get what you are saying Conduit, that's probably right.
I just feel like I'm letting my Vampire down by not giving her enough health regen. But that is just me rp-ing.
I should just trust my heals more and stop looking at her regen numbers like was said before. She does well, I just don't like her having that low regen number when I gave her +500 food

I've heard it can be useful in PvP - and on occasion I read about players who use Troll King and swear by it.

Though I have to say my own experiments with health regen haven't impressed me.
