This video is jiberish, nothing new and a LoT of wrong things like saying Sun Rays are CPU demanding - they are ONLY GPU related. And dumb things like set your draw distance to 0 ( and make your game 1999 patato) is just laughable.
The second tweak with the regedit will have 0 impact on your lag in Cyro because it is not on your side.I play with around 120-150 ping in Cyro and it has nothing to do with the unresponsivness of the skills when 10+ pple are beating on you.
So basically you will get some more fps in exchange of garabage looking game. Isnt that the dream of eveey MMO player ???? xD

Apart from the fact that the 90s offered probably the best games ever..
I Guess you're pretty fun at partys. Downvote.
Good Job on the video, I'm trying to play competitive so every fps is worth a fortune different is not as big as Mr. Beautiful above mentioned. I agree tho you should make another short video, will help a lot of people probably who don't even know the impact of certain video settings.
Kudos

1. Stick playing Mario than.
2. Parties are for kiddos.
3. The Video is literally 30 mins of useless "tips" that any half decent MMO player who has problem with performance will adjust in his first few Hours of playing the game.

I spent a few weeks doing some testing with ESO and various tests on how Windows 10 handles TCP connections in an attempt to help improve performance in ESO. This is specifically concering PVP and trials. Through some Trial and Error, and Registry Edits I have ESO performance levels on my machine back to pre-lighting patch levels (100 FPS in Stormhaven at prime time around way shrine with 70+ people around.)
Large keeps fights on PC-NA even with organized guilds around my ping never goes over 190 (never turns red anymore), and i never drop below 35-40 FPS.
Saturday Night was the 1st time since 2014 I was able to play in Cyrodiil for 6 hours straight with no disconnects, no more unbearable lag, and abilities actually working. I could actually bar swap weapons while 4-5 people were beating on me and actually be able to defend myself! it was a wonderful feeling. It brought back to me the fun i used to remember!
Now keep in mind, everyone's internet connection and computer is different. You may not get the same level of results from this video as I did, but my friend @Minno saw SIGNIFICANT and DRASTIC changes to his performance after making these changes...he could actually fight at the mile gates with large amounts of players and not lag out and be unable to swap weapons and stuff. None of the changes here will hurt you, they can only help you. How much of an improvement you will get will vary, but I will be shocked if you get no improvement at all.
I hope this helps some players out there get a better game experience. I am doing this, because at the end of the day, I believe we should try and help one another as much as we can. A way to continue paying forward. I hope this is of some use to folks out there. Take it easyand have fun!

Thanks for your help. I find the video quite good and clear for people like me who used to understand tech but have not been involved for a while.
Would you advise to use your regedit change or go for leatrix latency fix instead ?

I personally do not trust leatrix latency fix
As you can see from Virus Total
https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/eab98650ca9f4f7450e4b20c18392ac8c8d4ef9d938f4130ed1acc97d110afe0/relations
leatrix latency fix has been bundled with files and other cracks that are associated with malware in the past, and I can't see how an executable that only changes a few registry entries needs to be over 5MB in size. It doesn't make sense to me, and there is no way I would trust that file.
Just looking here

thats enough for me, I wouldn't trust it considering what it has been bundled with in the past. If you decide to use that file you do so at your own risk and I do not endorse it.
The file has no publicly available hash (SHA256) that you can check your file against to ensure it has not been tampered with.
The file also has no Code Signing Certificate ensuring the files have not been tampered with and are authentic.
As i was taught very early on in my IT career:
"Once you execute code on your computer, your computer may no longer be "your" computer. If your even the tiniest bit unsure or your gut tells you not to do it, don't do it. Even there is even a 0.5% risk of being bad code, don't do it"
changing the registry entries yourself ensures thats the only thing being done to your computer and nothing more and your 100% in control of that. That just my take, but I wouldn't use that program to do what I could do myself in a few minutes that I know is safe.
OK I tried the tricks in here.
First impression :
- seems much better overall fps and lag
- some skills seem a little clunky (they go off but don't actually go off?), could be my connection as I live in Asia. Seemed more fluid, like much more fluid but still clunky
I have a question for regedit change ....I need to find the key that contains my IP adress to add the NoDelay and Ack words:
1 . The key name is different from your , it is Dhcpipadress and not ipadress. I guess it is ok ?
2. I have 2 ethernet cards with IP adress ? Maybe it is due to the fact that I have a VPN (I live in asia, so no choice if you want to play). I did modify the main connection parameters but should I do it on the second one as well ? Is there any risk to do so ?
I'll keep monitoring it for a few days as my connection quality is irregular, but overall it seems like a nice and promising improvement !
Thanks very much !
Hey I tried the connection fix for the game and it worked the first day, but after that I have had issues these days. NO idea why, I deleted the registry entrys in hope to get back the connectivity again but the problem persist.
Any ideas?
This is marvellous, I've done only the settings tweaks and already the game is smooth as butter!
I usually test these in Shornhelm and along the Eastern town wall outside where I got 17-20 fps most of the time. Now it's 45-50 and can be 70+ outside the walls!
I found it was the shadow setting which caused most of the performance drain and however it looks a bit more 'plasticky' wit shadows completely off, after 3 minutes I got so much used to it that I'll leave it off now. ESO is a beautiful game anyway.
I also deleted the COOKER cash file, it was 38 MBytes in size, may just do that every once in a while now as a bit of housekeeping. I've 8GB RAM and I literally can see the memory leak kicking in sometimes with no actual reason, will see how turning AA off as well improves that.
Still have to do the registry tweaks once I finish work today, if it only works half as much as the settings above, Cyro will be a blast to play!
Thank you again for putting all this together, it's very educative on how rendering works and also very effective!
In regards to the memory leak, I've been using this little program - "Intelligent standby list cleaner"- for a while now and with excellent results (8GB michine).
Google it and give it a shot.
