Cooldown on public dungeon memento (Ginger Kitten, Sixth House Robe, etc.) piece drops?

Is there a cooldown on drops of the pieces to public dungeon mementos like Sixth House Robe, Dwemer Sentry Pet, Psijic Glowglobe, and Ginger Kitten? It seems like I will usually get a piece to drop fairly quickly but then I can farm for what seems like forever and not get another drop. Bad RNG? Or is there a cooldown and I should go do something else as soon as a piece drops?

To offer basically nothing of real value to your thread, my anecdotal evidence is the same. It's not hard to get that first piece, but I've not ever seen two drops within ~20 minutes (which is all I ever spend in a PD, to be fair) of each other. I play with friends, and with a Group Loot addon that tells me of drops they get (including these items in question), and it plays out the same for everyone as far as I can tell.

    So; definitely maybe yes, probably!

No cooldown. This is just the phantom effect of RNG and, even more so, RNG based on the server.

Let's say you have a 1/200 chance of getting a piece but that's out of the total number of people also grinding for it at the same time so it's more like 1/2000 chance of getting one making it even longer and seem like a cooldown.

Why take the time and effort to program in a cooldown, with potential exploits when it breaks, when you can just use easy established RNG numbers to make it take a really long time anyway?
That's a no-brainer; you wouldn't code in a cooldown because it is too risky and unnecessary.

Despite what I said above, this makes a lot of sense. There's no way to know for sure unless ZOS confirms one way or the other, but this does seem like the more likely route they'd take. Why go to trouble for something that's more easily/elegantly solved by already-in-place methods?

That said, just because it would make sense to do it some way does not mean that's how ZOS would do it. Sometimes it seems like quite the opposite, actually.

Nope, no cooldown. Or if there is, it is very short. Got two within like a minute or each other once.

Neat! As someone who's also had the same experience as the OP, I've wondered if this was possible. Thanks for sharing, @Starlock.

It was kind of a fluke, though. I’ve had other runs through thosse public dungeons with zero drops the whole time.

We know they have cooldowns on recipe drops and other things, so this is obviously not true.

It's very possible that there is a cooldown. It's also possible that the cooldown is not absolute, but simply modifies the odds of something dropping for the cooldown period. This can even be on a curve, so the odds increase the further you get away from the initial drop. None of this is particularly risky or difficult to implement.

I treat it like one per 12 hours because that’s exactly what it feels like to me. I usually get the first drop within 10-20 minutes then nothing until I leave and come back the next day.

Not sure i lvled a warden in the delve where the six house drops. It does seem to slow down regardless of time. I never did get last drop had to buy.

Also was farming xp with on other person i. The middle of my lvling and the pieces where dropping for him way more than me. He gave me 2 drops and i traded one.

So ya seems to slow down. I think its bs that y literally lvl to 50 in there and not get a complete set
