LAN CABLE DISCONNECTED = ESO???

i only get this message when i play eso? just me?

    Windows says your lan cable is disconnected when you play eso? That's pretty weird. Are you sure this is the exact error message? Can you screenshot it for us?

    Xbox has an issue at present on LAN that it often won't pick up the connection on boot up and you need to do a soft reset for it to work.

    But I'm guessing you are PC as you didn't mention platform at all that's an assumed default...

    He's on PS4. and when the LAN disconnects on PS4 it throws a small box with exactly what he says "LAN cable has disconnected." In my experience though, since I use LAN religiously, anytime I've seen this error it was something needing to be done on my end - be it fixing wires, resetting router/modem etc.

    I had that happen the other day, but I thought it was something do with downloading an update file for a different game.
    More frequently I get the old you-have-no-internet-connection message. Getting pretty damn sick of that one.

    You have to set it in edit profile. Wish it put platform under our icons or forum stars instead of having to click user to see if they added theirs.

    Ah, okay, that makes sense. Also, yeah, kinda surprising that's not baked into something in the identity package. Even if it was just Icons between our name and the stars.

    It could be the cable OP. Check to see if that cable is inserted correctly or if there is any damage on the male port. Check the female port on the PS4 for any dust or damage too.

    This happens on PS4. Very rarely, but I've seen it. Usually last for 30 seconds, and coincides with my character becoming enlightened again when I can reconnect.

    How or where do you edit another persons profile to see which plattform they are using to play ESO? I can't see which plattform OP are playing on and I am on PC with web browser to this forum.

    NVM found it now...but that text line is in really small font to even notice there is a line below "About" for each forum members account on this forum. That comment about EDIT where a bit misleading as you don't need to edit anything to see it, just put on your very strong glasses to read it. ;-)
