Voice Chat in PC?

As a transfer from Xbox to PC the thing I miss most is area chat, guild chat, etc. It made ESO so fun (it can be cancer at times but that's what toggle mute is for) Can area chat not be added to PC for some reason?

No way, we use Discord, or TS or Vent or anything that is not area chat, that rubbish can be for consoles where it belongs

I use discord also I just prefer voice chat lol. It's easier than typing out stuff to randoms. Especially since some people can perceive attitude in text. Plus I assume most little kids own xboxs or consoles compared to a proper PC so I feel like voice chat wouldn't be as toxic as some might imagine.

Actually the majority of people I come across on ps4 are usually in their mid 20s and above. Probably because we grew up playing PlayStation and have continued that into adulthood.

Most of the people I play with on Xbox are adults in their 30s and 40s, as are the majority of the potatoes who spam voice chat with garbage and complete nonsense (terrible music, loud personal conversations with someone in the room with them, kids screaming, spouses yelling at them, phone ring-tones blaring, dogs loudly barking, constant stream of someone's supposed inner monologue). Apparently these people either never mastered the mute button on their mics, or they're inherently desperate for attention and recognition.

Don't do this to yourselves. You don't know how good you guys have it on PC.

On PS4. I only use voice chat in trials or dungeons, and only when (1) its with a guild, (2) the PUG group is cool and in their 30's or 40's, or (3) when it is necessary to coordinate because of mechanics.

MMO should be played with text chat. I only want to use voice chat in trials and some dlc vet HM dungeons, even there I'd mostly prefer without.

Wrong I got a 2,000 gaming pc for my 13 year old son... they just don't play eso lol there is way better games out there.

I would love to have built-in voice chat when pugging pledges. Would probably not use it otherwise, but that is enough.

Text chat is pretty much garbage in a dungeon. And I've lost count of the number of times I noticed a whisper 20 minutes after it happened.

Its trolled hard but I've met some of funniest ppl that way.

How do you chat with people when you use Dungeon Finder? Or how do you chat with people in towns that you're in? I use a keyboard when I play on console, but the thought of typing everything out to just talk with someone sounds burdensome.
