Are you Looking forward to the “Hunters Glade” home?

How many of you are looking forward to buying the “Hunters Glade” notable home. (I know I am.)

Downside: It may or may not be extremely Pricey.

Major upside: If the description for it rings true (being able to remain in werewolf form indefinitely while within the Hunters Glade.) it Could become Extremely Trivial in Using Target Dummies to run some DPS parses in werewolf form and maximising potential damage output for future Dungeon/trial runs and other group related activities.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

Not looking forward to a house that costs $100

Edit- You make a good point about the werewolf parse though! I’m sure one of my housing-obsessed guildies will buy it and I’ll have to check it out. But me personally I don’t care about it because I know I will never ever buy it

It's got 2 major problems that decided me NOT to buy.

    1. MANY of the ground areas are covered in what is supposed to look like skulls and other bones BUT it's completely FLAT and looks jarringly fake and out of place. Seriously, it's just REALLY badly done. And would take a ton of work and resources/precious item slots to cover up.

    2. The lighting and color of the lighting. I get what they were going for but it just looks like there's a forest fire raging nearby and the sickly yellowish/orangeish lighting just makes everything look terrible. Yeah, that's purely a matter of opinion on the aesthetics on my part but it just doesn't work for me.

    3. I have seen the Evergloam and now I cannot be satisfied until there is a similar forest available there!!!

    4. I'm sure the cost is going to be nuts both in cash AND gold/farming time.

I like the idea of a house which is just an empty patch of forest - like the Coldharbour Estate but less otherwordly. There's a lot of fun things that could be done with it.

I've not been able to preview this one yet because I don't currently have the PTS installed and I don't think it's on the live server, but it sounds like it's a bit too werewolf themed - e.g. as someone above mentioned there's skulls and bones all over the ground. Also it sounds like it's going to be another crazy-expensive crown store exclusive house, and I don't want an empty patch of forest to play with that badly.

None of my characters are werewolves so that part is irrelevant to me.

Well you should give werewolf a try sometime and see how it appeals to your particular play style.

Yeah! Wolfhunter would have been a great time to introduce a small/medium hunters' cabin type of house, like those little cabins inside the MoS dungeon. Just a shame that the huge houses are such great money-makers for ZoS that they prioritize massive $100 houses over any other kind :frowning:

Not at all. The lightening kills it for me. And no night/day cycle. And the entrance.
I was hoping for something more like the Hunting Grounds where you are taken to perform the ritual and pledge yourself to Hircine when you become a Werewolf.
    Everything else is great though.

I wonder if the big houses are as great of a money maker as ZOS thinks. Personally, I will get the WW house, but then that's it for me because I can't afford $140 every time something comes out. I would love the Murkmire house (yay fish tanks), but it's just not in the budget. I hope they start adding some small and medium homes. I bet they would be surprised at how many in the community would buy. It would certainly open up the market to more shoppers.

I'm in a housing guild and soooo many people in it own a bunch of the crown houses. Some people don't even question it and just buy them all. And that's just one guild on one server! It amazes me.

Crates might be the only other thing in the store that can cost around $100 and gets purchased by a lot of people, but I don't really know. I also think if these big houses weren't extremely profitable thing for them, they wouldn't keep doing it so often, you know?

If we think about just the last year's worth of new house releases, we've had (crown prices are for unfurnished):
    • Grand Psijic Villa - free (conditionally; possibility of crown store house at later date?)
    • Exorcised Witch Coven - 250,000 gold or 3,500 crowns
    • Coldharbour Surreal Estate - 1,000,000 gold or 5,600 crowns
    • Alinor Crest Townhouse - 1,025,000 gold or 6,000 crowns
    • The Erstwhile Sanctuary - 13,000 crowns
    • Pariah's Pinnacle - 13,000 crowns
    • Linchal Grand Manor - 14,000 crowns
    • Princely Dawnlight Palace - 14,000 crowns
    • Colossal Aldmeri Grotto - 15,000 crowns

I absolutely agree with you and I think ZOS is ignoring a big market here of players who don't have millions of in-game gold or hundreds or real life dollars to blow on houses. It kind of feels like if you can't shell out the big bucks ZOS just doesn't want your business.

It looks good for werewolf, vampire, bandit, etc role playing guild, but that's about it. With a price tag of 8000 crowns, it's really not worth it. Considering how of housing space is unusable and wasted, even at 4000 crowns, I'd give it a pass.

When we first saw the preview we were excited about the glade, The lush greenness, the size of the area and a small house we could decorate .
My husband bought me crowns so i would be ready encase it was a three day sale
When the house was out to see and buy, I was so upset, first I thought my graphic card was going out, The glade was orange not lush green..The glade is muted.. not a beautiful area we would want to play and decorate....
Why the changes and horrid muted orange.

Personally love this house for a couple of reasons:

    - The price point is much more reasonable than any of the previous 700 slot homes we've had. I hope this sets a new standard with furnishing packs making up for the rest of their income.

    - The front hall and tower are perfect for most of your housing needs. I love the lighting and feel of the hall. My only detraction is the skeleton floor texture in the tower base which doesn't suit my tower crafting area. I just put a wooden deck there to cover it up.

    - The glade itself is perfect. This is Hircine's realm peeps! It's not some idyllic glade. It's savage and cruel and made for hunting. Go with the theme. Max out on the slaughter. Hide some animals and ask your guildies to find them. It's as advertised. :-)

The orange/red of the glade put me off. It's depressing to look at and made me feel so blah. I loved the inside of the old tower, but the rest not so much due to that coloring of the sky.

    Oh yeah.
I have been beyond excited for this home since it's viewing. I absolutely love this place!!

But here's my problem: As soon as I noticed that it had hit the store, I went into finance mode. I knew that I had to handle my beginning of the month bills and make sure I've taken care of everything in the real world that I need to take care of before anything game related comes into the picture. So after doing all of my bills and getting that out of the way, I would only have (such and such) amount left over to do whatever I wanted with.
It comes down to this...I did not have enough to just purchase the crowns outright and nab Hunter's Glade upon it's arrival in the crown store without letting my 6 month Plus renewal lapse (which I don't want to do). BUT, my 6 month ESO Plus subscription was set to expire on October 15 (yesterday). The money I have set aside for that renewal I DO have. This would leave me with roughly two days to renew my 6 month ESO Plus subscription, take 8k of my 9k crowns and nab Hunter's Glade just in the nick of time before it's exit from the crown store.

I waited all night after work on the 15th, still had Plus. Maybe it'll expire at midnight, I said to myself...it did not. So at miscellaneous points throughout the early AM of the 16th I kept checking to see if my subscription had expired so that I could renew, grab my re-sub, get crowns, pick up the Glade. I checked over and over every 30 mins, or an hour throughout the early morning of the 16th and I still have my Plus. I ended up going to bed and said I'd check in the morning. So I woke up to get ready for work, but decided I'd log in and check the status. I still had Plus active.

Now...I'm not really the kind of person to complain about getting extra time on such a service, but I want this home so very badly and I'm starting to become concerned that I'm not going to see my 6 month expire in time for me to renew and get it with my crowns from the re-sub.
I'm now done with my work shift for the day and do I loves me some ESO. So obviously after I get all settled down after work I'm logging in...usually I'm logging in to get my game on, but this particular night I'm more focused on the status of my Plus sub. But now I keep getting errors trying to log in. FML...I tried again, no luck. I changed to EU servers, I was able to log in just fine. So I back out & change back to NA...no luck. Restart system, still no luck. FML, FML..

In short? I had 2 day's left to re-sub for my ESO Plus and pick up Hunter's Glade. Problem is, last time I checked (roughly 11am October 16th), my ESO Plus was still active, thus preventing me from re-subscribing and buying this home. I said, I'll check when I get home from work. I can't, because I can't log in. Even though the Playstation service interruption has been declared fixed.
Sooo...this is my life now. Dear lord, do I hope that I am able to log in soon. And goodness gracious do I hope that when I am able to log in that I am able to see my current ESO Plus has expired so that I may renew and BUY THAT HOME!

I'm all set for this transaction. I'm just waiting on everything else at this point.
Thanks for reading with me :)
