Ignore quest

Is there a way to ignore a quest so it doesn't keep showing on your compass? I don't want to do "For Glory" and it has starters all over the place. I keep following the wrong marker and I'd like to get rid of it. Thanks for any help.

There isn't a way to do it, unfortunately. The "For Glory" quest markers annoy me too, as someone with no interest in battlegrounds. On the plus side, it's not plastered around every location I visit, so it's tolerable.

I picked up that quest. I dont want to do it, but at least its not on the compass.

Don't know about the OP, but nothing will make me do BG. I just put up with the damn quest markers in every bloody city.

They could add a variant of the quest where your character confesses they are a pacifist and it completes it.

Agreed. I despise battlegrounds. I also don't want to mess things up for someone who enjoys them. I might do what Aarlur did and just take the quest and leave it in my journal.

Hmm.. It really takes about 10 mins to finish a BG, and those minutes can pass faster than you could tell. Besides, you get transmutation geodes or other items, like motif outfit pages if you are lucky. One BG isn't that repulsive, c'mon.

I wonder why a player actually takes time to excuse himself in the name of the devs. Isn't it better to ask for something and see if the developers can or can not do it with valid reasons? I personally would like to see a change in quests. Either option to disable them or an option to have them shared across all characters, or both or maybe someone has an even better idea. This is a paid game, not a mod/game made by some unpaid developers that do stuff for fun.

*Take quest, enter journal, highlight quest, hit options and click 'Hide Quest'*

When I first read the title of this thread, I though it referred to a quest in which you must ignore all pleas for help and such (which became increasingly difficult) before reaching the quest's conclusion.

I would also like to permanently hide the battlegrounds issue, on the basis of the fact that I consider pvp to be morally unacceptable for myself. (I don't hold others to the same standards I hold myself to). I won't pvp due to the fact that I do not believe I should compete against other people, only against myself. Hence, complete avoidance of pvp. Unfortunately, it's impossible to currently say, 'no more, I don't want to be associated with this' in the game.

Gods, yes. I'd love this, especially since the default quest tracking seems to have a case of loading the wrong quest once you've completed a daily. Nothing like tracking a cool Summerset story quest, only to have Maelstrom Arena show up once you've done your writs.
