So does all new accounts or accounts with no Summerset chapter can get dat Villa just buying Summerset chapter and log-in game from now till october 7?
My friend deleted the game right after housing release, because he loves to decorate, but houses are too expensive here and looks like gold sinking mechanism. Can I bring him a good news about "free house" if he'll buy Summerset, reinstall the game and enter it?
It would be good to hear any confirmations from official source, I know about home page new, but this was before event complet, now to mutch people complaying about people who wasn't in game and doesn't perticipated.

This is from the FAQ..

"If you own The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset and log into the game before October 7, you are eligible to receive each reward (if its requirements are met). Even if you only buy the new Chapter towards the end of the event and are unable to earn the Summerset Pathfinder Achievement in time, you will receive the rewards. The deadline for acquiring the Summerset Chapter and logging in is October 7 at 8:00PM EDT."

Haven't seen a game where housing is not sinking gold mechanic yet (Except single player games maybe). Anyways gold to make in this game is easy... you just need to know how (daily writs, stealing OP).

EQ2 (almost dead now) hase a free houses excluding chash shop ones of course, furniture crafting skill line and free decorations from raids, dungeon, achievements and quests. ESO want you to buy it for gold after achievement complet. SWTOR hase acceptable prices, Wildstar (will be closed in next few weeks) hase a free house instance. So only gold sinking houses came from f2p MMOs created by kickstarter (limited house slots in open world you can buy for cash).
So it's pretty goldsinking if you played thouse MMOs before.
As for me, I have enough gold for any but notable house or unique faction mega-houses.
