Vanquish is a guild of moderation first and foremost. Does this mean we will not push hard? Strive to be our best? Make a name for ourselves or see all that a game has to offer? Not at all! On the contrary, as a guild of "moderation" we choose to explore every bit of content the game throws our way from PvP to PvE, End Game to Crafting and light RP without pigeon holing ourselves into saying we focus on any one aspect. There is simply too much FUN content to explore in an MMO for that, we prefer to say we are a guild focused on...ALL OF IT! Placing and emphasis on the player behind the keyboard we care little for how "leet" you are or how you rank in game X. We are a family and supporting one another in an honest and confident way is what drives us as a guild. We are "casually hardcore"!

>Whats in the name?

The name Vanquish was taken to show our intention not only in terms of game content but also in regards to overcoming the obstacles a guild sees in its lifetime and the relationships we build with our guild mates that lead towards the success of the guild as a whole!

>Who is the leader and founder of Vanquish?

Oakos is the sole founder and overall guild director, the buck stops here! He is supported by the guilds overall second in command, Tormennt and their core of Officers.

>How long has Vanquish been around?

While Vanquish was designed from the ground up as a new guild for GW2 its leadership has over a decade of experience leading teams both in game and out and has since branched into a number of other MMOs including ArcheAge, SWTOR and ESO with others to follow!

>Is Vanquish an end game guild?

Vanquish is focused on seeing and exploring all a game has to offer this includes the end game.

>Is Vanquish an RP guild?

We are RP "encouraged" in that we do not enforce such but we encourage if not respect our RP community - RP found in Vanquish will be specifically event driven and optional.

***Certain traditions such as promotions and in guild awards are held in an RP fashion to solidify their importance***

> Is Vanquish an 18+ guild?

We cater to an older crowd and use the 18+ rule loosely, applicants can plead their case to leadership should they truly feel hanging out with a bunch of OLD guys is the path they wish to follow.

>Does Vanquish engage in PvP?

Indeed we do! Vanquish engages in all manner of PvX offered by the worlds we call home including the formation of specialized divisions of small and elite teams focused on specific PvP objectives.

>What size of guild is Vanquish?

We have around 200 active members by design. Our focus is on the player behind the keyboard, and too many people makes it difficult to keep that focus. Our application process is slow by design in order to weed out any bad apples or members that are not a good fit with Vanquish, this means leadership is taking their time in terms of recruitment and always will.

>Does Vanquish require me to use voice comms?

Day to day we will not require voice comms use however some group content and especially end game and PvP content will require such. That said Discord is an excellent means of communication and guild cohesion, the use of it is highly encouraged and FUN! Discord information can be found in the members section of the forums.

>Will there be room for me to move up the ranks within Vanquish?

Absolutely! Fostering a strong leadership is the Commanders number one priority, if you think you have what it takes just remember actions speak louder than words! A note on ranks in Vanquish: Ranks in Vanquish are not meant to separate or divide our members they are simply a means of added content, RP flare and most importantly a way for our members to evolve their own leadership skills and strengths.

>In Vanquish, am I just a number?

When a member becomes just a number in a guild the leader needs to hang it up. Once you have the guild tag over your head here in Vanquish you become part of something bigger, we look out for one another and strive to better our guild mate standing next to us. First and foremost the player behind the keyboard is our priority.

>What is the primary time zone of Vanquish?

While the leader of Vanquish is PST we have members playing in CST and EST as well.

>What is the average age of a Vanquish member?

While this can fluctuate with the active roster the average age range found in Vanquish is between 30-50.

Though our numbers aren’t nearly what they used to be, Harbringers of Death Xbox NA AD. Been playing with most of the core for 3+ years. Sucks the game has turned many off from playing but if we get a few people on nowadays there’s always going to be zergs getting bodied.

I'm not in any of the guilds I was in, when I started the game. But the guild I've stayed in the longest, and really enjoying, is Zerg Squad(EU/PC).

Banter, friends, insults, more insults, not-a-friendly-guild, but including and generally a bunch of good guys/girls. Weird Discord conversations, hilarious jokes and competitive, organised PvP. Also a whole lot of knowledge and experimentation. Oh, let's not forget: More insults and "Your face"-jokes.

Without the guild, I probably would've quit ESO. It feels nice to always have something to come online to. ^-^,,

Vanquish, fantastic group of guys, everything you could ask for in a primary non trade guild.

They have hard core guys and relaxed guys, always have events and such running to help new players or veteran players finish off key achievements. They raid, PVP and just casual it up as well, no play requirements other than "Don't be a ***".

hands down the best guild I have been a part of is Vanquish.

It is a pretty amazing guild for old and new players of any skill level. I have been playing mmo's since before EQ and Vanquish is definitely the most inclusive guild I have ever been a member of. It is also a very active guild.

They have numerous daily events that are a blast and really help a newer player get their feet wet in all that this game has to offer. Events range from world bosses, undaunted quests, gathering sky shards to vet pledges and vet Trials. Also, some weirder stuff that might involve nekked mass suicide.

The people are super helpful and friendly. Have a question about your build or need help to accomplish something? you'll not only get an answer you'll probably have someone dragging you into a group to go get what you need done now.

Its a good bunch of people, though it is an older crowd

Guild based off the podcast and for the podcast listeners and its been awesome since I have joined everyone is really helpful and friendly and the podcast is one of my favorites.

All 3 platforms on the NA servers and I believe they are working on getting EU guilds together if there is enough demand for them.

A large EU PC/MAC guild, friendly to newbies and veterans alike, with enough of the latter to do regular veteran content runs - dungeons, trials and raids, while still maintaining a non-elitist spirit, allowing all members to have fun at one's own pace. No pressure, no stress.

I felt welcome even as a total newbie. Any time anyone needs help or advice, there is someone willing to lend a hand.
