Have it possible to spend 200 CP points in each Warrior, Thief and Mage for a tier of not-op upgrades. High cost for a mild reward.
So, for example, in warrior, people rarely put 100 points in Med, Light, Heavy armor, and never put points in all 3 on the one toon.
However, what if they could spend 200 of their CP points and it unlocks Med, Light and Heavy armor to 100 permanently and irreversibly on every toon? It is a late game upgrade that would require some serious contemplation. It also nets a small reward for your toon. It also travels with you into PVP.
For 200 Warrior CP points. (Defensive with healing perks)
Medium Armor Focus and Resilience are perma unlocked and Reinforced now requires 75 points
Light Armor Focus and Critical Leech are perma unlocked and Unchained now requires 75 points
Heavy Armor Focus and Revival are perma unlocked and Determination now requires 75 points
For 200 Thief points. (Cost reducing with environmental perks)
Sprinter and Inspiration Boost are perma unlocked and Maras Gift now costs 30 and War Mount now costs 75 points
Warlord (this would need to be swapped with Tenacity) and Master Gatherer are perma unlocked and Windrunning now costs 75 points
Tumbling and Treasure Hunter are perma unlocked and Shadowstrike now costs 75 to unlock
For 200 Mage points. (Damage and various perks)
Spell erosion and Foresight are perma unlocked and Arcane well now costs 75 points
Shattering blows and Butcher are perma unlocked and Tactician now costs 75 points
Piercing and Exploiter are perma unlocked and Last Stand now costs 75 points
So the goal is to unlock a set of CP perks that you wouldn't normally put on 1 toon in particular but do hold a benefit. It also adds consistency so every player can be the same on a base level but they have something to work towards. CP points for PVP'ers are no longer useless. The player can only spend CP points 200 points above 160 and it lowers their max CP points by 200 for each upgrade.
Where people often won't put 100 points in light, med or heavy, they are now putting 200 points in for 300 points in total (for which they'll only ever get 100 points of benefit) so it also acts as a CP sink.
