There has been a lot of speculation (and conspiracy) circling the Summerfall Event; specifically regarding the Grand Psijic Villa. ESO has not released the set numbers, but as the percent to completion barely increases every day, folks are getting worried. So, I thought I would extend a possible solution; even though I am fairly certain the event was designed to grant the home.

Suggestion:
Extend a Discount Proportionate to the Summerfall Completion

Example of Original Price: 21,000 Crowns
Summerfall Completion 47% (11,100 Crowns)
  • Summerfall Completion 82% (3400 Crowns)
  • ETC

Alternatively, this could be offered for gold as well, with say, an Original Price of 8,000,000 gold.

This may make the event seem more enjoyable and have landmark goals. Just a thought.

That would set a poor precedent. ZOS set the goal. If the goal is not met, they should be "gracious" enough to let us buy the house that we absolutely failed to achieve when we can't even see the numbers required?

I'd say that's some of the shadiest sales trickery in the history of selling stuff. Has ZOS been talking with EA lately?

I'd say that if we don't win the house in this event, it may be best to offer it up in some future event instead. The entire idea of selling us something that we didn't win by achieving an invisible goal doesn't sit well with me.

ZOS is graciously giving us stuff for free.

Even if the Community doesn't 100% come together for the Psijic house ... I am personally happy that we're given a fighting chance and will still get free stuff.

Frustration because ZOS won't reveal their formula for calculating the number of accounts that attain Pathfinder?

    Give me a break.

We should all be happy that we're getting free stuff ... not trying to micromanage how ZOS rolls out an event that unites the Community.

People have a sense of entitlement. Even with free stuff, there will be QQ if they don't get it all. Just look at all the QQ over the login rewards...

We've already hit the goal, ZOS had it already set since the beginning, they just want to make it interesting and have everyone working together and stuff...
Seriously, they won't put out an event behind an extremely expensive DLC paywall and have everyone "punished" in the end for not having hit their (secret) goal.
So don't worry, they'll announce the 100% in like two days from the end of the event...

i'm gonna get the house, regardless. i was planning on buying it. i have crowns stacked. believe i'm doing what i can to get it for "free" but there's no way they designed an entire house and then won't release it just because some first-time event didn't go well enough.

i even suspect the "lack of transparency" some people are lamenting is a way for them to fudge the numbers in our favor. they certainly want this to make us happy, if we make the effort.

a lot of folks here seem to have confused cynicism with pessimism. my cynical side says that the company would not introduce an event that they claim is doable, and then put it out of reach. it benefits them much more if the 100% reward is attained, and luckily, that also benefits the people who want the house.

    It's a beautiful house.

I would love to have it and free would be great!!

    BUT

    I wandered round it yesterday...…..

It will join my collection of way, way too big spaces that I consider undecoratable for the allotted allowance of furnishing slots! :(

If we do not make the target, I will not consider buying it, unless it's for a relatively small amount of gold...….

No way would I buy with crowns. :(

Oh and I've done my bit on both servers :)

Somebody doesn't comprehend the value of TIME! When everyone mentions entitlement it's always about us wanting "Free" stuff. Have you ever stopped to consider the TIME people invest in this game. Have you stopped to consider the time ZOS is asking us to spend on this event, or any other event for that matter. These "Freebies" aren't "FREE" they're being earned by time spent doing what the game designers want us to do. Puts a whole different perspective on this "Entitlement" BS that people keep tossing around like it's a bad thing. If I work for something, I earned it. I AM ENTITLED TO IT. Period. It's called capitalism!

I agree with the first sentence. However I must ask you, what is this goal that has been set? What does 100% equate to?

Of course there is a reason Zos has chosen to not tell us what that goal is.

There has been a lot of speculation (and conspiracy) circling the Summerfall Event; specifically regarding the Grand Psijic Villa. ESO has not released the set numbers, but as the percent to completion barely increases every day, folks are getting worried. So, I though I would extend a possible solution; even though I am fairly certain the event was designed to grant the home.

    Suggestion:
Extend a Discount Proportionate to the Summerfall Completion

Example of Original Price: 21,000 Crowns
    Summerfall Completion 47% (11,100 Crowns)
    • Summerfall Completion 82% (3400 Crowns)
    • ETC

Alternatively, this could be offered for gold as well, with say, an Original Price of 8,000,000 gold.

This may make the event seem more enjoyable and have landmark goals. Just a thought.

I think they should be much more harsh: if we don't meet the goal, we don't get the house. Ever.

We cant influence 75% of the goal; as there are 4 mega servers. Of that 25% in our realm, most of us speak only 1 language. Its not a great execution on an event.

I personally think that we will reach 100% regardless of how many people actually do the event. That's how these marketing campaign usually work. The simple fact that they use a percentage number is a good indication of this. They won't tell us how many people have the achievement or how many need to have it. All numbers in this equation could be randomly chosen by ZOS. We don't even know if 0% would mean that nobody has the achievement.

Events like these just exist to grab the attention of the customer for a prolonged period of time. All the while they make ZOS themselves look like gracious donors by giving away stuff that has been created with the expressed purpose to give it away for free.

Sorry for telling you that Santa isn't real.
