I'd say that's some of the shadiest sales trickery in the history of selling stuff. Has ZOS been talking with EA lately?

They need to show something tangible. Anything.

ZOS is graciously giving us stuff for free.
Even if the Community doesn't 100% come together for the Psijic house ... I am personally happy that we're given a fighting chance and will still get free stuff.

No, I have seen countless comments of frustration regarding this event. Read what I said, I have a feeling its coming regardless.

Frustration because ZOS won't reveal their formula for calculating the number of accounts that attain Pathfinder?
Give me a break.
We should all be happy that we're getting free stuff ... not trying to micromanage how ZOS rolls out an event that unites the Community.

i'm gonna get the house, regardless. i was planning on buying it. i have crowns stacked. believe i'm doing what i can to get it for "free" but there's no way they designed an entire house and then won't release it just because some first-time event didn't go well enough.
i even suspect the "lack of transparency" some people are lamenting is a way for them to fudge the numbers in our favor. they certainly want this to make us happy, if we make the effort.
a lot of folks here seem to have confused cynicism with pessimism. my cynical side says that the company would not introduce an event that they claim is doable, and then put it out of reach. it benefits them much more if the 100% reward is attained, and luckily, that also benefits the people who want the house.

ESO has not released the set numbers, but as the percent to completion barely increases every day, folks are getting worried. So, I though I would extend a possible solution; even though I am fairly certain the event was designed to grant the home.
Suggestion:
Extend a Discount Proportionate to the Summerfall Completion
Example of Original Price: 21,000 Crowns
Summerfall Completion 47% (11,100 Crowns)
- Summerfall Completion 82% (3400 Crowns)
- ETC
Alternatively, this could be offered for gold as well, with say, an Original Price of 8,000,000 gold.
This may make the event seem more enjoyable and have landmark goals. Just a thought.

I think they should be much more harsh: if we don't meet the goal, we don't get the house. Ever.
But... but how do we know that this % bar in summerfall event is really showing real % of players that got the achievement ?redspecter23 wrote: »That would set a poor precedent. ZOS set the goal.
