I think I figured out how to get stam into end game pve without nerfing shields and balance pve/pvp

Like the title says...
Heres my idea.
Reduce the radius of all magicka based AOE's, put an up front burst damage on those reduced AOE's and reduce the duration of the DoT. The only AOE DoT that will keep its original state is....Endless hail!... And stam toons needs healers, so the healer will always be useful.

    Make stamina characters more useful in dungeons and trials. And give mag characters a bit more burst dmg for pvp.
    ....that was my train of thought.

    Ah yeah that isn't the problem. Nor will it change anything.

    They are about the same for DPS if the boss is static, the problem is that trials are ranged biased, the melee class moves to live, and thus loses damage. Its the same with MagDK and Magplar too, not a stam thing.

    I mean its the fact that shields lets mag characters survive.

    Also mag characters have as much burst as stamina..

    Bow abilities do less dmg from melee range xD

    I cant say Ive noticed much burst on my old sorc or my mageblade. Liquid lightning, twisting path ect. Seemed like mostly DoTs except for the executes that only work at 20% health or lower. And haunting curse is delayed. My stamblade is much more bursty than either of those.

    Thinking about what ak_pvp said above.. About stam characters having to move to survive... Maybe zos was trying to force mag characters to move to avoid damage before recasting their shields.
    Im trying to rationalize and make sense of the nerf.

    They could have given stam an armor ability, (stam‘s version of shields) but then people would QQ over that so instead every class will be getting nerfed now

    @Heimpai yeah, I made a post some time ago about giving Stam a shield like healing ward or buffing bone shield.

    They went crazy and said it would make stam too op. Which I agree with but that tells you a bit about shields

    Its not a bad idea. But it should be the medium armour skill so shields cant be used by stam in heavy.
    And maybe wearing light armour should mean reduced cost of rolldodge so mag can have a bit more mobility.

    Nerf the other players is the idea? I was tilting in another direction. There are so many insta Death mechanics in Trials that God could not prevent your death from. Tank Block or die.

    ZOS could design Melee friendlier mechanics that punish ranged play. Right now most are Range advantaged in Trials.
