Alliance Change

I've been wondering why there are no Alliance change tokens (or even class change tokens) in the crown store, and I couldn't find any recent discussion about this topic, so that's why I'm here!

What would be the Pros and Cons of having Alliance change tokens in the crown store?

Could it be done at all, and how would it affect the character that got switched?

Alliance change goes beyond what faction you PVP for, it changes your characters home zones. Also it would change things like when you get lvl 45 and can take the Undaunted pledge, and it directs you to sign the Undaunted Tome in the Undaunted Enclave that is from your home zone. It would also change your character sheet and your icon, as you would have a different alliance.

In theory Alliance change would be handy, I have a DC I wish wasn't a DC, but on paper I just don't think Zos can do the back-end work, code-wise, to change all the ways your Alliance effects your character in game.

If you could not find threads on this topic then you did not search via google because it comes up from time to time.

Cons, if you spend time in the forums you will find people that have a different mount and even home for each character they have. That is money in the bank that is lost if people merely use crowns to change the character.

So you say that you do not by special mounts and homes for your character which would be irrelevant because many do.

Then you say that Zos could just charge enough to cover those costs to which I say the price of 50k to 100k crowns might be something more object to than those that want class and alliance change in the first place.

Glad we had this discussion.

In case this was not clear, it will be a long cold winter before Zos adds such things.
