I decided to make a character on the EU server to get the Summerset Pathfinder achievement to help out the community goal. Man it felt weird having 0 CP and not having my collectibles. Well I had the stuff I got from codes, like my Torchbug pet, but still, felt totally naked 
Anyway, I managed to trot my way all over Summerset for the main points of interest, then I needed to get a port to Artaeum for the point of interest there. The first time I asked nicely in chat, someone whispered me, asking me how much! I said, what do you mean, I just need the wayshrine
And they responded..."well the last time I taxi'd someone there they gave me 10k gold"...I was taken aback a bit, but responded "Well good luck, I'm a lvl 6 with 150 gold!"
I waited a while then asked zone again, and a kind person gave me a free port. I decided to give them my Mother of Pearl ingredient that I picked up for helping me, since I can't take it with me to NA
They said I didn't have to, and were grateful, so there are nice people all around the world
To that first 'taxi' guy....you might want to rethink your approach, you might get 10k from an EU native with gold to spend, but new people from NA on brand new characters aren't likely to have 10k yet, especially a lvl 6 who had been in the game less than an hour

I actually noticed Summerset was less laggy there than it is on NA for me, I maintained around 30-40 FPS most of the time. I did notice my ping was around 200 and would spike to 300 sometimes though. ✭✭✭✭✭I play on NA, and saw several people there who were from EU and needed a taxi to wayshrines because they'd just made the character within the past two days and their speed was a "1".
Yeah, a lot of people are making new characters for their alternate server for this event. I actually didn't have to, because I already happened to have a few under-used characters on EU.0 -

✭✭✭I was picked up for taxi to Artaeum immediately on PS4 EU. Although it was in the middle of the night for European players, there were many in zone chat offering to help NA players complete the achievement.
I even got a guild invite for lowbies... I think I'll be back to play a lot on EU. Like the OP said, it was weird playing a 'new' account, but also exhilarating, too, as if the game were new.
This event has many side benefits

Zenzuki✭✭✭✭✭I tried last night to get a port to that last one, but I was apparently mostly surrounded by french speakers and couldn't understand what was being said.
Will try again tonight and see if I have better luck.
Like others have mentioned... I quite enjoyed the "lowbie" feels after so long of being maxed out! Having to slow hoof it around and "re-opening" wayshrines, etc.
The event is fun also, seeing everyone charging at these locations enmasse!

✭✭I have a CP400 StamSorc that I created on the EU server sometime ago and took him in today just for the pathfinder achievement. Usually the lag runs about 240ms from the West Coast, probably close to what the EU’s probably had when they were on the NA megaserver. I do belong to a couple of guilds on the EU server and one of my guildies provided the taxi to Artaeum 0 -

Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -

Maybe for you, I don't feel insulted at all. C'mon, everybody poops There are greedy s'wits everywhere, charging for werewolf and vampire bites, selling dungeon runs... However requesting gold for a port is the lowest of the low.
I parked my Summerset hero in Artaeum for everybody to port to - I'll be just chilling there till the end of the event. Also, if any guest from NA server needs a tour, I'll be doing all Summerset POIs tomorrow at 3 pm BST / 10 am EDT - pm me if you are interested

Even when I ask in zone WTB vamp/werewolf bite most people respond that they'll bite me for free.
If I am waiting for a queue and someone needs help with a WB I often help them out.

i play on the EU XB1 server, and noone ever asks /pays for porting, vamp bites or even ww bites. you get the occasional idiot asking 5k or something but most people just offer. ive got a char over on US too - same over there.

That fellow was nice. There was one NA in our group who didn't have any mounts and the EU guy ran alongside him using Rapid Maneuvers to get him to the Coliseum faster. PS5 NA. I've seen people in chat saying they'll port to Artaeum for 10k, but I think mostly they're joking - and even if they aren't they're immediately overwhelmed by people offering free ports, so it doesn't matter anyway. I got a port on NA server when I asked.Tank Girl0 -

✭I jumped to PCEU with some PCNA friends. We disbanded our group to try to get someone to port us to Artaeum. A guy picked me up and went to port, but realized he didn't have the shrine open on that toon. We ended up finding someone else, but we also brought the PCEU guy with us. Now, he too has Artaeum unlocked. Lawl.
I still gave him my whole craftbag. Nice of him to try. 0
